Very solid OVA that no one is talking about... Hopefully not the last we see of this show.

Enlighten on what, specifically? There was an OVA released a couple of weeks ago, if that's what you meant. No word on any future projects as far as I know.

Finish watching both the TV series on 2-3 days ago, and just seen the OVA on this afternoon.

Spoiler for Ika-Musume OVA:

Hope to see its other manga chapters (never seen its manga, by the way) to be animated, regardless what kind the format it would be.

The manga continues, and is doing solid business. S2 was a big drop-off from S1 in BD/DVD sales - though still pretty good overall - so I would say a third season is a pretty iffy proposition at this point, though not impossible.

Was it any wonder said German Commander won for 9 straight years

Probably while making her work to pay off their debts too

Thanks for the responses y'all.

I will definitely check out the manga. This show is probably the best full-length comedy show I've seen in a while so I hope it's not done for good. Even just another OVA would be cool.

Those OVAs were brilliant. made me realize how much I missed the show. Even if they don't make a third season, I'd like a new round of OVAs at the very least.

Yeah, I have a special place in my heart for Ika Musume. I hope we at least get a few more OVAs, because the prospect of no more Ika Musume anime is really depressing.

Seeing this on somewhere else...

Source(?): http://seventhstyle.com/2014/02/17/i...s-coming-soon/

Neither MAL nor ANN has this news, perhaps this is a hoax...

A third season would be a joy, though sales for the second weren't nearly as good as the first so I wasn't really expecting anything. If it's not a hoax, OVAs seem more likely.
