2007 SaiMoe Speculation

Admittedly, I haven't checked out too many recent anime - but the one that came closest to the "old-school" moe style was Karada from Asatte no Houkou. Cute, young, and capable yet so vulnerable and complex... a great character who could have carried the show on her own, given the right plot.

And yes, I realize I'm being a bit unfair - comparing contemporary anime to adaptations of literary classics by the legends in the industry.

P.S. Oh, yes, I forgot about Anne Shirley, from Anne of Green Gables - another great series (and book). Arguably one of Takahata's best works.

Booyah! Take that F$#$%# Sugita Tomokazu character. Not that I hate Gintoki and don't feel he might qualify as moe when having to deal with Kagura all the time, but I'll be damned if the voice didn't hurt him. Kappei Yamaguchi provides way more of a soft moe personality than freakout boy.

I agree...Obviously there was some foul play afoot...Sorry but that Yuki Vs Desu match had the 2nd highest total vote count in the entire tourney(Behind the finals)...And the numbers were ridiclously above the standerd deviation. And both times...Desu was losing...Then mircalously jumped about 1000votes
