Hmmm, I've been wondering for the longest time, why does Naruto appear in the Hunter x Hunter manga. Volume 15, chapters 1-3, feature Naruto in the filler pages. Is this simply fan art by Togashi Yoshihiro, or is there some other reason?

they are just fanart, but there is one occasion where there is a minor reference to Naruto in the manga

......... who cares...? Mangas refer to other mangas all the time. Seiji from Midori no Hibi has memorabilia from Shounen Sunday series in his house. In Hajime no Ippo Morikawa Jyoji (the author) makes reference to Super Doctor K for 2 of his character designs (Super Doctor K ran for 40 volumes and ended around the time HnI was hitting volume 20). In Beck, there are constant references to mangas in monthly Shonen Magazine past and present (most of the Ryuuroden references). Yakitate!! Japan actually congratulated Konjiki no Gash in a running gag when it became an anime and recently had a major guest appearance from Detective Conan. It's nothing to start a thread about.

Yes, it is. Some people are more curious than others. I have not seen the Naruto fanart in the HxH manga because I havent read that far in it.

in the gto special chapters about Tomoko, there are 2 pictures of her on the cover of "Shounen Magazine" (it's actually the magazine GTO was originally printed in) and if you look carefully, you can spot the GetBackers
