Last original he directed was Sora no Method so im kinda skeptical. However he has directed many great things in the past.

White Fox surely is sticking with this fantasy setting huh? Either way Im optimistically excited.

Synopsis

The story is set in 2016 and centers on 14-year-old girl Matoi Sumeragi, who is a second-year junior high school student now. Reminds me more of Mahou Shoujo Taisen due to the Shinto nature of the characters.

I saw exactly one anime from this director (Sora no Method) and it was one of the most boring pieces of garbage ever that I had to drop twice because I was falling asleep while watching it.

Not the best first impression, but this looks like a somewhat ambitious original mahou shoujo anime so I'm definitely interested in trying it out.

Ep 01

First ep showed some promise in terms of the story and the characters and such, and overall I enjoyed the visuals. However there were also some aspects about it that I felt unnecessary and could have done without, frankly. Not deal breakers, but which prevent me from unreservedly following it. Will give the next few eps a try, though.

Episode 1

I think the show has promise too. Well for starters, it has a serious vibe to it despite my initial impressions of the character designs. Hopefully we'll find out more details about spirits soon and maybe a bit more of background story about the main girls.

The music is impressive so far and action seems fluid enough. From what I understand, this is White Fox's first ever anime original project so it'll be curious to see how they develop this.

Looks pretty good. As long as they don't try to pair the MC with her father, I'll keep watching. That part when dad confused the MC for her (dead) mother and groped her boobs was pretty fucking creepy.

Felt kind of disjointed but it is White Fox so that counts for something and will watch further.

Had some odd reactions while watching for reasons I have not figured out yet. At times I felt as though Lupin III was about to show up and at other time I got more of a Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita vibe.

the police is her father or no????, cuz she keep calling him by his name not "oto-san or daddy or something like that, this give a feeling which they not blood-related and he is more like her "step-father, specially in the eating scene, where she was acting like they where just "friends" and not father and daughter.

Then when she turned in her "mother" in her magical girl look and her father grouped her boobs i was like

, something is very wrong with this anime.

and the blondie girl fighting the monster in the beginner, i feel almost like i was watching 2 different series glued together here.

well i will give the 3 episodes rules before decide if is good or bad, for now looks interesting with the only creep part being the "cof cof" incest joke moment.

That first episode was fun. Liked the start showing us that those "Nights" aren't easy peasy monsters. Dudes could wreck well-armed armies and special forces without getting a scratch. Seems like only magical items/stones can get you the equipment to deal with those things. Haruka is hot trouble, Pochi is a horny dog, Shingo is cool papa and Matoi seems to dislike calling her papa papa for some reason. Looks like their mom did not die, but rather left home? At least that's how I interpretate Shingo hugging Toi-chan and saying she came back. Albeit him grabbing her boobies was a bit creepy for a reunion hug...

There sure are a lot of shows recently with the more minimalist artstyle. Can't say I hate it, it fits the mood.
