I've read up to chapter 80. It's a rather inventive story for sure. And it has a habit of making me hungry...

I just read the recent raws and I really like Tommyrod as a villian. He gives a new meaning to villian, most villians are dark and have a good sense of fashion but in first appearances, this guy looks like a psycho clown with cockaroach wings. If his manners weren't enough, controlling man eating bugs as a weapon(from his fucking mouth) is just plain sick.
Spoiler for Compare:

Good lord. Read up the most recent scans.

Just plain awesome. Though it is still shounen , it is getting somewhat violent.

Tommy Rod is a true badass villain. I am really eager to see how Toriko wants to beat him.

Chapter 85 °_°

Damn, i love this manga.
It's pretty violent for a shounen.

I wonder how Toriko can turn the tables now......without outer influence sure he is lost.

These recent chapters, notably the latest, have been way more violent than the series usually is (for a shonen and not a seinen). Nothing against that--the author must really want to show how violent and twisted the Bishoku-kai are.

I'm guessing Toriko is gonna grow or reattach that arm.. or something? O_o

Wonder y is this so underrated..
Only 2 pages of reply?
I have not read one piece(only seen some episode of it). After reading toriko, i don't know why, somehow it feel like one piece.

Anyway with regard to the new chapter, i thought toriko is unbeatable. Seldom do we see main character lost in a fight. The insect king is truly wicked. Just when you thought he has pull out all his trick, he still has muscular arm..

Toriko is a freaking awesome manga!
Really bloody brutal.
Last chapters, i felt the atmosphere of Berserk.

I wonder how he gets his whole left arm back....but the fight is over now.

Actually, this series is ranked 4th and topping among the big 3 of JUMP. Like One Piece, this series is also a fantasy genre and has a refreshing feeling to it.

the jellyfish restaurant kick ass, next, to country of Life and probably no fighting for a bit. I really wish they will made an anime out of it, but I will be staring at the screen looking at the food they eat lol.

I'm personally more interested at the moment is the history of how the Four Heavenly Kings title came about, and what's so great about it that Toriko and Friends seem to carry a reasonably great deal of influence.

I mean, it's not like they are that extremely powerful. Technically, you can argue that Toriko lost to Tommy in terms of how they performed overall. And Tommy's just a vice-chief, even if he's highly regarded.

Just finish chapter 95. the oldy lady it might take 15-20 years to finish the soup, on the other hand, it sound like Toriko's arm can be healed, but according to tenpei master, it could take 20 years.

Odds are the two of them will defy the masters' expectations and get what they want in less than a month, year tops, if the shounen standard is to be followed.

Defying the master's expectations is what is commonly being done in shounen, so... . Just remains to see exactly how they'll do it. Maybe Komatsu'll have a flash of genius and think out something - but making a soup is one thing, an arm another , so I dunno how Toriko'll solve his part - Guts?

Just read 96 in chinese. Toriko's arm regeneration is having much faster than expected. At the end of the chapter, 3 month have past and his arm seems to have regenerated to 25%. On the soup front, Komatsu manage to create something similar but not quite to the level of Setsuno's soup and on another page Setsuno is predicting that Komatsu will head to her store for some advise very soon.
