Damn, that was a hell of a cliffhanger. So I was right in guessing that Chiyo joined the Bishokukai now (and damn, the way she sliced that one guy apart was insane.....!!). And even Komatsu hasn't escaped the danger of betrayal (did Ootake stab his heart!?). But hey, at least Toriko's gotten his power-up just in time! Whether or not he's ready for the GW should be proven within the next few chapters, methinks.....
BTW, I'm also guessing that "food immersion" will be how Toriko learns Spoon without the need for master Chin to teach him. |

I'd have to agree with the idea that Ootake's partner is Staajun (however it's spelled), given that he's probably the Bishokukai member who's closest to beng Toriko's rival.
Anyway, I found it a bit hypocritical of Ootake to label food honor as "worthless", especially when the very mission they're in was based on the notion that food honor is a potential threat to the Bishokukai's activities that must be eliminated. Whatever the case, I'd love to see the food honor enhanced Toriko in action in the next chapter.

Uh, but it's not like he died yet, or anything..... But yeah, really awesome chapter. I love how Chiyo not only killed those masters with more crazy knife work, but made some very Livebearer-esque faces during the battle. She's definitely starting to become one of my favorite villains in the series. And yeah, Chin buffing himself up like that was awesome, too (makes sense that he's that big, considering what he told Toriko during his food immersion lecture). As I already said, I very highly doubt that he's done for yet. At the very least, I wouldn't expect him to die until after he's defeated Chiyo (or at least forced her to retreat back to the GW).... And lol at Toriko basically turning into Sani with his new power-up. Can't wait to see him kick some ass next chapter. |

^I think the mere fact that he partnered with one of the Bishokukai is proof enough that he's fallen to the "dark side". I mean, why would he even be hanging around creeps like Chiyo and that golem if all he wanted to do was establish a "friendly" rivalry with Komatsu....?
