It does -.-. Amazing anime, but it was definatly a little slow at times. There are things to be said for not following word for word (or scene be scene).

......... The fansubs is not even out and deathnote get its own subforum. Totally shocked! I can still understand why kanon get its sub forum so fast, but death note? Is death note really going to be that good.

You are suffering from a misconception. It has nothing to do with Death Note's quality. We give forums for crap shows all the time. A forum is not a mark of quality. Lots of truly inspired shows never get their own forums. You'd be surprised how many quality shows never get a large audience.

We give forums to shows that garner lots and lots of posts. Even if they are bad, thoughtless posts about which character can kick another character's bottom. Well... as long as those posts aren't bad enough for us to delete them.

Death Note made the necessary number of posts/day over a sufficently extended period. Nothing more, nothing less.

PS. The manga was really all that good. So I am really hoping that the anime also Rocks my World. But that has nothing to do with it getting it's own forum.

I've never watched anything subbed by TW but used to read their scanlations so I hope the translation's quality is as good (I couldn't care less about Karaoke and effects).

Yep. Look, even absolutely average show like Suzumiya Haruhi got its forum, due to nothing but the hype. Why not give the same opportunity to real quality incarnate, i.e. Death Note ?

Don't bother watching TW's release, it has inaccurate typesetting, 3 liners and a terrible font.

Normally it's not a big deal, but first episodes give first impressions. If your first impression is bad because of some terrible fansub, you'll likely not care for the series afterwards. A lot of people don't give things second chances.
