Hi everyone,
I recently watched Full Metal Panic, Full Metal Panic Fumofuu and Full Metal Panic The Second Raid and loved them. What I would like to know is what order should I read the manga adaptation in as I believe there are several different versions? Also if I wished to read the light novel versions where could I obtain an english translation either through a retailer or online? Any help regarding these questions is greatly appreciated. |

Hey Centaurvegito,
Your activity makes it look like you haven't logged in since you posted this, so if that's the case, as a heads up, I sent you a PM with all the answers to your questions ^^ For quick reference, the manga order looks like this: Full Metal Panic! (illustrated by: Retsu Tateo) -> Full Metal Panic! Sigma (illustrated by: Hiroshi Ueda) Everything else is comedy/out of continuity/remakes. And if you just want to pick up where the anime left off, start from the last chapter in volume 4 of Sigma. (Chapter 17: Flowers of Bullets)

It's so sad that FMP! seems to have been long forgotten in Japan. I wish a studio would pick it up and finish it. It's been almost 10 years since Second Raid for christ's sake!

I suddenly felt compelled to read the last few bits of the last novel and afterwards got curious about the current status of FMP! in general. There's a little warm part in my heart knowing there there are still folks out here who care about this story.

I hadn't realized that magazine article came out AFTER the TRPG, until these articles came out about it O_O And then that tweet from Shikidouji... Ahhh, here we go again with the turmoil Q_Q
Ahahahah, good question... It's driving me crazy!! JUST TELL ME WHAT IT IS ALREADY, STOP LEAVING ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT.

Don't get your hopes up for a new season of FMP. My understanding is that FMP's publisher sees anime primarily as a way to promote the novels they publish. And since FMP is already complete they don't view it as a good bet to promote with anime compared to other series that are still being published.
FMP Another may have more of a chance of getting an anime. |

At this point, I won't be hyped with any (false) hint/tease of FMP new anime season until it is officially confirmed, even a tease of Another anime as much I'd lwant it.
Would rather wait and hype for SRW Z3.2 news because (more likely) it will be the debut of Laevatein and Belial being animated, and the first time post-TSR stuffs getting adapted into other than manga, I think
