I Agree with the art reason. The characters are made to attract sex. I don't agree with their ways. It is like a movie star (take tomb radier) jolle's character laura coft shows that in that movie. Saying someone who think a character is hot is a loser is not right. I know others who think that and have relationships and myself as well. Stellar is hot and so is every other gundam seed and destiny female characters besides the new captain. My girlfriend is Japanesse so anime characters and anime are like regular shows to her so she says. It is like thinking Brad Pitt or Jennifer Grander are hot.

From a teen point of view, i don't really think that there's anything wrong with thinking that a character is hot. Come on...they're anime chars...of course they have to look good as the main char...u can't have a ..say...that Captain of the EA Ambush Team as the main char...he just doesn't have the looks.

But on a side note....for those ppl who fantasize(probably wrong spelling) about doing this and that with anime char....erm...ya...get help....seriously
