Here's a characters/seiyuus page with pics of the five main characters and their seiyuus, and a bit of info about the seiyuus.

Jesus Christ, the animation in this is horrible.

Spoiler for episode 1:

TL;DR: I like the idea of this show and I love the voice cast, but oh god, the faces. Bad producers. Bad. :/

I like the characters designs. Eyes look like eyes. Nose looks like nose. Lips look like lips (whereas in some anime characters designs I have to guess where the nose and lips are while the big eyes are always there with lots of lashes.) The expressions are kind of subtle but they're there. (Then there's the blurry background 3D trees but I can ignore that.) And oku-sama looks so pretty.

Outside the animation, I like this show. And Miyano sounds 1000 times better than he did in Nobunaga the Fool.
P.S. Kichou is cute.

The character designs are good, but the animation(?) is not doing them any justice at all...

They're not really "subtle" more like versions of the same mask. Instead of emoting, the characters sort of put on one of the 2-3 masks they have. (It would work if they had been going for masks, but it's obvious that they're not.) It's horrible, and I have no idea who agreed to this and then let it continue after seeing the result. :/

It's a new style of animation, I feel like I'll definitely get used to it. It does look very nice; it is just different after all.

The premise is absolutely awesome and I really liked episode 1. That was honestly pretty fantastic. I wasn't expecting the premise to be so simple...

I'm curious about the MC and the other characters as well and I can't wait to see the repercussions of this time-slip. Also, the opening looked & sounded pretty amazing.

Hmm...well, that was kinda surprising. I will echo other posters' reactions and agree that the animation is pretty bad, but the story is actually not bad. As someone else mentioned it is simple, maybe even unaffected (in a good way), but kinda works. So far.

I guess the premier was better than I thought it would be. I still am unsure if I will follow it, but...yeah. I am surprised by this one. Nowhere on any part of my radar before the season started at all. :\

This sounds like a much better Nobunaga series than the previous ones.

Well, of all the Nobunaga variations I prolly enjoyed Nobunagun the most (which I never would have guessed in a thousand years before it aired - it was the biggest surprise of the Winter 2014 season for me), but this one, though only based on one ep, seems to be kinda straightforward and uncomplicated. I would even say it is kinda serious, and does not try to mine the audience for humor or fanservice or bloody violence or what not to "sell itself".

I thought it was half way decent, but definitely think it might do better with "normal" animation.

as we can see they become a lot better at using 3d and 2d picture at same time

downside was a lot of people run away from early episodes animation quality

Just seen it.
Damn, that Saburou is a baka.
Didn't think the animation would bother me.
Still, it was pretty unusual and takes some getting used to.
It's not that bad, it actually kinda fits the surroundings/the story.
What did bother me were the movements of the characters.
The "new" Nobunaga sure gave them a run for their money LOL
Saburou just might fix things for the real Nobunaga..
Will give this a few more episodes before I decide.

Well, out of all the Nobunaga shows, this one, along with Oda Nobuna no Yabou are the only ones that try to be anywhere historical.

I like the plot but this show looks really weird; the faces are stiff and ugly, the body movements are equally stiff but sometimes overly fluid, like rotoscoping. The environments are badly done too. Ugh.

I found this very visually appealing, like watching a picture (or a folding screen or wall scroll in this context I suppose) come to life. The backgrounds were breathtaking and the juxtaposition with the charactef's rigid expressions was oddly effective. Some movements, like Saburou waving to Ikeda to come join the wrestling contest, were surprisingly fluidly animated too. And the music and voice acting did a great job of tying it all together. Not your usual animation style, but one that worked for me at least.

Other than that, I love how gloriously random Saburou's slipping through time was. But where did he learn to ride a horse so well?
