There are plenty of Gunpla forums which cover those topics. Just my "Two cents".

Try Gundam Eclipse or Mech Arts Community forum. Or look at blogs/websites like Ghost of Zeon and DC23 Mech Arts.

I like a thread discussing MSG's influence and whether or not that influence is still apparent today as it was (to some extent) in 1979. In addition to, I'd also like said thread to cover whether or not it's believed Gundam essentially recycles the same general story over and over again.

I'd give more but this would just turn in to the thread I'm requesting.

You're pretty much stuck with a signature link. At most, you can start a social group, but that's about it.

regarding most comparing pilot's abilities, I notice that most multiverse-related threads devolve into discussing that one single, polarizing character named Kira Yamato. I now propose to have a thread devoted to him as every single topic about multiverses would devolve into whether Kira is good or not.

I respectfully disagree with the idea. As I said in another thread, if a thread "devolves" to a discussion only about Kira, it's only because there are people who wants to talk about him (within the context of the thread, of course). Creating a specific thread for him wouldn't do anything regarding the contents of any other thread. And it would be just a waste of the new thread unless someone actually has a Kira-centric topic they want to talk about that isn't covered by existing threads.

If people don't talk about other characters, then there's nothing we can (or should) do about it. People will discuss about who they want to discuss.

The problem with talking about Kira in the Best Pilot thread is that you guys cannot get out of the same topic on his level of skill. It's gotten cyclical and it goes nowhere, wasting both time and posts that can be used to discuss other things. By creating a character discussion thread for Kira, you can take such debates there, and you won't be limited to just talking about his level of skill.

Except that isn't the case at all, people could talk about other pilots in that thread at any time. It's not like you have to tie it in with any ongoing discussion. It's a very loose thread in terms of topic: any pilot from UC to AU, discuss who you think is the best and possibly why. So why should discussions about Kira, one such pilot, be segregated just because other pilots get mentioned less? If it's just because it's cyclical, then why should the mod create another thread for the sole purpose of housing a cyclical discussion?
