I think that's a reference to Arnold Schwarzenegger's film "Total Recall". In the film, he disguises himself as an old lady using a mask that opens and closes like the picture does. I think it's saying that Yuuno was playing Zafira's part the whole time and that's why we never see them in the same scene at once.

Kinda makes sense, since they both transform into animals, and fit mildly into the same roles... impact-less side characters!

I for one really liked the background that you did (and mainly because I can't draw backgrounds at all ). Only thing I'm noticing is the transition between the sky/water, and the water/land. Perhaps next time you can try tilting the horizon line for the waters slightly and adding rail guards for the ground. Otherwise the storm, explosion and water effect all look really nice.
