The September issue of Akita Shoten's Champion RED magazine announced on Friday that manga creator Takeshi Nogami will launch the new series Shidenkai no Maki in the next issue on August 19. The Shidenkai is the Japanese name for the Kawanishi N1K-J Shiden fighter plane used by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service in World War II. The announcement's taglines read: "This time it's female high school students x fighter aircraft!" and "A dogfight star is born!"

The Sai-Zen-Sen website published Nogami's original online manga Marine Corps Yumi in English in May. His other original works include Sailor-fuku to Jūsensha, Yamato Nadeshiko Zero Zero Seven, and Zerokan of the Moonlight Lua.

In addition to his original manga, Nogami created several dōjinshi and spin-off manga based on the Strike Witches franchise. Kadokawa Shoten's online magazine Kadokawa Niconico Ace published his Strike Witches: The Witches of Andorra manga with an English translation. Nogami also co-created The Witches of the Sphinx dōjinshi with Takaaki Suzuki, the historical adviser on the Strike Witches anime series. Nogami also served as assistant character designer for the Girls und Panzer tank anime.

Looks like GuP's success is making waves. Takeshi Nogami is very much familiar with this kind of thing, given that his manga Sailor Fuku to Juusensha is the spiritual and conceptual predecessor to Girls und Panzer (using the same "girls fighting in tanks" concept), right down to the monocled character Momo is the expy of.

Now waiting to see how he tackles girls and aircraft as a subject matter.

it has a perfect start, there is a harem-like build up but the story looks very interesting.

Can anyone tell me what is going on in the LN called Ore no Kaachan ga 17 Sai ni Natta. From what I gathered the protag of the series has a mother who ends up turning 17 year old again and a hikki sister. It seems people are saying it is tragic.

It is. the previous volume "winter" cut the 1935 arc though, so the 21th volume here is the direct continuation of the 19th volume.

The editor never forbade Narita to do three parters, it was only for his 2002 arc that his wish to do a three parter wasn't accepted. BTW the 1934 arc before that was a three parter as well so it's the second time. 1935 should be almost the end of the series, among what was announced as far as I remember only the 2003 has yet to be published.

Speking about Shinyuuden ending, I wonder if Daiden is going to end soon and move onto a the third series or something.
Maybe the next sequel might be called Chou Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu lol.

This is not the first time Kagami has 6 consecutive months' of releases (it's the 2nd time IIRC; the first was when Itsuten first started). I think he averages about 1 volume per 1.8 month now (including his Owari no Seraph manga), excluding other write-ups he do for magazines and his own Doujin novel (not 18+ btw).

The ChouDen thing does exist, as part of 2ch antics.

And no, it won't. Kagami has said that volume 13 enters the final arc of the series. And it's too freaking long already. With the latest volume, Denyuuden series has a total of 44 volumes. (;¬_¬) It's an undeniable fact that the length stops people from picking it up. I mean, just look at Horizon, you can't help but give up if you haven't started on it yet Which reminds me, Kagami and Kawakami are also super fast and prolific writers, but people just know Kamachi
