I found episode 17 to be not only a fun one, not a fresh one at that. Seeing how Kenji acted to his surroundings and the people at the apartment was interesting --- a nice side of Darker then Black that we don't see often. This is also the first episode i think, were we've seen no Contractor powers in action.

This new doll brings a lot of interest into the arc --- i can't wait to see how Yin shall act around here. Also being the first time we'll see two Doll's together.

Oh! today i was thinking (while i was cleaning the flour... jeje) that maybe Hei´s payment is in the power use ( as Weiss that use the blood to use his power, and the payment was to lose blood).
I mean, maybe when Hei use his power, his body use a lot of energy in both ways, so, he eats a lot to replaced that energy. Thats why he always fight as fast (his fights are always short) as he can, and he use his power just a few times because maybe, if he use it a lot, he gets very tired . Well its just a random though...

I think it is true, I think it is related to the power and related more directly to the gate, as I think Amber's is, I'm thinking that Nick was directly related to the gate the way he disappeared and all. If you think about it, the physics and such, the discharge of electricity (result of) and gravity (going back/stopping time)... directly related to the end game? That is ultimately my guess of where this is going.

Well, the Brighter than White was a joke, of course.
There were some notable tragedy, although I'll keep it tucked away till you watch it.

I didn't find anything particularly special about this arc in terms of story depth, but I was rather amused by the scene where Kanami and Misaki caught Hei buying underwear and a wig (Misaki even asked him if they were for his own use).

I pretty much loved this arc. It had a nice feeling to it --- like i said i found episode 17 very refreshing, and 18 carries on that.

And yes, shop scene was GENIUS. Just like how hot Misaki looks with that hat.
