Yes. I'm using the Windows build linked in the first post.

I could reproduce it using wine... I'll see what happens with the linux build and the cross-compiled one. If that happens after I upgrade the Linux mplayer, then there's a regression on ffmpeg.

Bug status:

64-bit Linux build: Does not reproduce
32-bit Linux buid: Does not reproduce -- Couldn't get any real VO to work, instead I output to a yuv4mpeg file and then played the yuv file back.
Win32 build: Reproduces
Win32 cross-build: DOES NOT REPRODUCE (a.k.a. fixed )

Good news:
libschroedinger and live555 appear to be working on the cross-compiler

horrendous blocks on resize of h264 files... horrendous, but only replicable on those files not the newer ones... curious.
btw the seeking seems fine tho... also curious.

What do you mean by "resize of h264 files"?

It's probably the same issue I encountered when seeking.

You should, but you don't have to. The GPL explicitly states that you don't have to provide the source code together with the binary. You can instead include a written offer to provide the source upon request.

So it's perfectly fine to release a binary and only release the source later when you're satisfied with it or when anyone asks for it. Of course, you should release the source early to avoid that the source code becomes unreachable if you loose interest or time for the project.

New version uploaded. Changes:

r27448(r14686): Fixed the directx VO. libass improvements and bugfixes. On ffmpeg: more and more h.264 fixes, lavf matroska demuxer practically rewritten with a patch frenzy from aurel, new decoder for Electronic Arts TGV, fixes for Fraps decoder. superdump's AAC decoder is making it's way into the libavcodec tree, expect me to drop faad in a few builds

New version:

20080829 - r27492(r15034) [082420CF]: More H.264 fixes and speedups. Assembly magic speedup by Loren Merritt. AC-3 downmixing speedups. The AAC decoder has been fully committed, and already got speed improvements; it is not the default yet on my build due to lack of HE-AAC support. Lots of matroska fixes/new features, but nothing that allows subtitles to work properly *sigh*. Anton Khirnov submitted a patch for ordered chapters support, it is still waiting for bashing from the matroska maintainer. DV100/DVCPRO HD decoding/demuxing implemented. lavf is now the default matroska demuxer upstream, but due to those subtitle problems and higher CPU usage I kept mplayer's internal demuxer as the default. New, simplified config file.

I am no programmer so I have no clue how to use the fontconfig-hack.patch of yours.

I just set the value on fontconfig to 0 in the config file so it'll skip the error. Unfortunately, subs are turned off that way (doesn't matter if I'm not watching anime but...) Mind helping me out by giving me a step by step on how and where to put the contents of fontconfig-hack.patch?

I already did try pasting it in the config file string */mplayer/config but then mplayer crashes due to numerous errors regarding the string I copied.

Great work on the build though. It is seriously fast and I will try to use it on my 'atom' mini pc to see if I can run those 720p or 1080p on those tiny puters!

.patch files are used when you compile the source code. They are applied by a program called (guess what) 'patch', and it changes the code. My build already comes patched with that, so you have no use for it unless you want to build fontconfig and/or mplayer yourself.

And what error is it giving?

And I gotta get my compiling environment working again ASAP, this build is bitrotting :X
