Quick question I know the original had 50 eppys while the remaster only has 48. Which two eppys of the original were skipped entirly in the remaster?

I figure 26 was one of the eps skipped as that was just a TM revolution narrated clip show that mostly served to debut his Meteor song.

What was the other one? 14 and 27 were also mostly clip shows but had a little original footage mixed in.

27 was skipped. I remember seeing 14. It was the one with Rau giving a narrative about SEED's backstory.

Yeah 14 was the Rau one. 27 was where Erica recaps all of Kira's battles for most of the ep in flashbacks, but it ends with her showing Kira the Astrays.

...Wait a minute. I remember seeing the Erica one too.

Could someone check? I haven't seen the original SEED by the way.

Makes you wonder how much shorter Destiny remaster will be if they cut out all the recaps and at least some of the repeated stock footage and needless Flashbacks. We get it that Shinn is angry for his families death, we don't need it blasted in our faces when ever possible to eat up time.

Destiny will probably be cut down to 45-47 ep, maybe 44-47.

They'll cut the Sai recap ep, which I don't think is even an official ep. The Durandal recap ep, and the Athrun recap ep.

I think those were the only 3 entire recap eps. The Meer one still has some actual episode in it.

For Destiny, scrapping the recap episodes alone isn’t enough.

The real problem is the flashbacks. They are present in almost every episode. If they’ll remaster Destiny and able to combine two episodes into one by throwing away all of those flashbacks, I’ll give them my deepest respect.

I guess it depends on which one is easier and cheaper: reusing SEED Remaster scenes or remastering the actual scenes from Destiny.

well give do plan HD GSD with likely recap eps being no need give GSD is 50eps so if remove recap

ep.20 give bit showing of shinn's past life
ep.29 despite it got gil & ghost of rau with past of gil moments on it
ep.41 total recap in kira & atnrun view

so make it like 47 or 48 (if combine shinn's past & gil& ghost rau in half set parts). to plan on HD GSD version?

also finale ep give sure combine both ep.50 & final plus to a whole.

tick tock til dec 1 for reveal of return of GS era?

Yes, but the budget is not going to be so little that they wouldn't be able to remaster some of Destiny's scenes as well as take some of SEED remaster's scenes.

It's not all about "can they?" but also about "will they?". Like I said before, if there's a cheaper & easier way, why not go with it? We're talking about stock footage here. As long as it's there in HD, the sales won't be influenced much. They're doing business after all.
