Some how they may have extravagated Yukiho's fear of men. But still it was a good episode that shows how being an idol doesn't always mean always getting the best gigs and trying to make the best of that situation.

Anyway another VA interview with Chihaya's and Takane's voice actresses.

It's nice to see what Asami "Imagine" Imai looks like.

Is Takane's seiyuu really a debutant? If i had to say it before i dugg in deeper to this series, i'd say she is a bit experienced seiyuu.

It is a fact that Hara Yumi debuted as a seiyuu with Takane in the Idolmaster SP game (same with Hibiki's seiyuu Numakura Manami) - but that game was released more than 2 years ago. She's done various other jobs since then so she's racked up a fair bit of experiences.

I wish they would not shuffle girls so often or at least keep one from previous episode. Since i am not familiar with game franchize it is hard to keep track on who is who. Visually i prefer Makoto, Chihaya and Takane. Will see how it will develope. Hopefully staff won't overplay certain traits like Haruka being klutz and Yukiho the spade.
Otherwise series seem quite lax, not most enganging for me. I expect it to change when more girl get spotlight. Also would be nice if certain girls problem were resolved not just by Producer doing some explanations.

P.S. What's up with this amoral behavior of cameramen/director towards underaged girls. As a parent i would demolish that crew.

They're participating in what is essentially a variety TV show masqueraded as a cooking competition. Nevermind that's a niche, cable channel.

Tldr; Real Life Variety Shows are exactly like that. Anywhere in the world... And Japan is known for having some of the weirdest ones.

In fact, I applaud Idolm@ster that they're actually portraying the junior idols going through such hardships that every idol/star wishes they would graduate from.

I can stand them (having been exposed to some incredibly large ones almost a foot and a half long), but 'sweet aroma'? Hell no. I can eat Durian in candy form though.

As to this episode, Chihaya was the character that introduced me to the IM@S franchise, and seeing the gist of her character this episode... almost reminds me of my old self ;_;

Still, I guess the whole show is gonna be following this "idol of the week" format huh? Its fun for now, but I'm hoping some basic overarching plot comes into play soon.

Edit: Ah yea, that ED was depressing. You can feel that loneliness emanating.

Didn't particularly liked Chihaya or anything, but now I'm sympathetic to her.

The show may be fragmenting its cast a bit (a necessity, given the size), but it is moving itself along. In the span of four weeks, they've gone from lounging around the studio to preparing themselves photos so they can get jobs, from a local gig, to a spot on TV. The beach episode looks to be some R&R after their first two jobs, but they're moving up the ladder in the way most personalities do.

A nice blend of personality types in those four - introverted, extroverted, clumsy, eccentric, all aiming for the same star - and just those four. The rest of the talent vanished. After local gigs comes gimmicky Japanese TV shows, in this case an Iron Chef-alike. Plenty of action both behind and in front of the cameras. Hamzou was in top form as always, but the running thread this week looked to be getting Chihaya to loosen up. Which isn't easy when the camera enjoys filming your rear end. What is it with Japan and Durians? A Channel had them as burgers, and now the fruit itself appears. Some very nice singing from ChrisTINA Chihaya this week. Next week: Beach episode!

With over half of the season left, I'm sure there will be more focus on her, especially since she didn't really develop much this episode, still as dark and gloomy as ever. ...Hopefully.
