S2 could potentially end at the end of vol 7 with a semi philosophical look back / voiceover by Rika stating that they are already friends.

The MediaFactory homepage announced the second season officially.

Hentai Ouji is also a good one.

For discussion of this point, I recommend the Spoilers & Speculation thread, because future event spoilers from the novels shouldn't really go in this thread (though I realize that means there isn't that much to say at the moment).

Well, this is pleasant, even if it's really not a surprise.

well im not sure if it just me but it seems they changed a little the designs and the palette, speially kodaka looks more like his original design, and i hope im not just seeing things, they also seem to be going up to vol 7, anyway what i really want its that they adapt the story closer to the LN in comparison to S1.

They changed the designs a bit.
Not that different from the first season.

The palette is very different though. I was used to the first season so I'll try to get used to this new one.

For some reason this pv annoyed me. Still gonna watch this series, but I remember how much I disliked the "Yozora always getting over on Sena" bits that permeated this series =0\.

at the very least they seem to have given the girls skirts a pattern, i quess they can do nice things while there is no aniplex series getting all the resources, and if they decide to put the team behind setohana and nyankoi in this i would cry from joy.

Eh, they don't compete for resources; each show is given its own budget, and they hire the needed staff to do the show (whether in-house or outsourced). No production is going to cannibalize resources from others, or else the people who paid for the show would be not pleased. It's quite possible Media Factory and the production partners didn't invest as much the first time; perhaps, having proven its success, they felt a bit more confident in the second season. I guess we'll also have to see if there have been any changes in key staff.

thats kinda my point, aniplex usually has more budget with wich in case of a multi-production schedule their production is gonna get the best/most resources, also i consider a lot of second seasons specially of light novels tend to have lower production values, specially since the first season is usually the best advertise a series could have.

One character within the preview in the window appears just at the end of volume 7 for the first time, so they might probably even go further. And after a successful first season and with a higher budget even more than the usual 12 episodes should be possible. More episodes = more blu ray releases. The first season sold very well and stable (10000+ for each volume BD+DVD).

Basing the PV, they will probably go all the way to vol.8... where something big happens
