Well, just watched the first two episodes.

So far I like the merciless atmosphere, and the BGM fits it. The OP is something I haven't seen in a while--a simple collection of different clips found throughout the series. ~_~ Sakuga quality feels like it's cutting corners here and there, but manages to hold on some sort of consistency. Apart from Eimu and Hime, character designs seem a bit flawed; Yuu and his ayakashi influenced appearance in particular. One other thing to note is the badassedness of Eimu. Arr, the moe those tears induced later on... >.<
The story is so far sticking to the basic premise that is "Ayakashi are power, but also a curse" which will later on show in more than one way. Then there's also that incident which happened two years ago with Yuu's childhood friend Izumi. Is that part of the ayakashi curse?
Can't say much else at this point, but it seems some ayakashi users are taking it a bit too far with creating a special organization for ayakashi users. The OP already spoils us that its boss is a heavy-weight ayakashi user.

I'll continue with this one, even though it's only because of its weird mixture of atmosphere and story. Oh, and Eimu (first claim as my waifu *akkanbee*). <3

Only had a chance to watch episode 1 and it was eminently forgettable. Flipped through episode 2 very quickly, and it looks like it picks up quite a bit, though I second the "lacking an action budget" thought.

A fusion of Elfen Lied violence and Buso Renkin+Mushi-uta+Basic Shonen cliche story.

The action is pretty bad at times, but it seems somewhat interesting.
We already have the "bad side"

I, for one, so far, do not like Eimu (like how she uses her ayakashi to control people for her own sake, etc.).
So far, it obviously hints that Eimu has some connection to the 2-year-dead Izumi, though I don't know what, though I have guesses.

The violence level is sickening, a part I dislike about the show.

My biggest dread and fear for this series: If it goes and makes every named classmate so far a ayakashi-user to fight against the "bad guys".

Next time - "Price" Time for the Mushi-uta of the series?

Decided to check this out after bumping into what seemed like an interesting PV.
ep 1 & 2

In terms of action, I've seen worse I'm quite surprised that it is actually quite violent but that has little effect compared to other gory series - a la elfen lied. But it is a nice touch that they aren't going to skimp out on the killings even if it makes hardly sense XD Hey its natural to get killed if you just stand there and spectate.

The story is following a common theme but is interesting to say the least. Yuu has a special ayakashi (how predictable) that turns him into superman. But I lawled when I saw his arm returning to normal - blob is cute XD

Need more on Eimu, but so far she seems like your typical "cold blooded assassin that gains emotion" type character.

But I just love the OP/ED themes for this series.

Guys, hang with it. As a long-time fan of the game, I can safely say that AYAKASHI is one of the most awesome Visual Novels I've ever played. It starts out simple, but systematically deconstructs a lot of the tropes, later. The main problem I have with the anime is that most of the character's personality traits are a bit exaggereated- Yuu, the main protagonist, was a much nicer guy in the game.

Oh, and keep an eye on Heima. That guys rocks. ^_^

The action scenes weren't as bad as last time's. Still a lot of disturbing violence, this time in the form of people losing half of their body's into the void.

The price of "ayakashi" is like a combination of Mushi-Uta/Darker Than Black...
The users lose their ability to feel guilt when killing, the parasites also weaken their body.

That blond girl has some humanoid, phantom wings thing.

Next time - Ayakashi User; bonding between the emotionless and the emotional; some crazy guy...

Still going good
Pam is your typical loli who falls for the main character and who doesn't know her own strength
Typical but quite enjoyable - especially when emiu's ayakashi nearly chopped her up in two

I have no ideas how amazing the game is but the anime is pretty bad. Yuu irritates me the most with his constant "hmm..... arr..... mmm..... errr...... aaaaa....." just say something decent for a change.

If there is anything good about this anime, i.e something that makes you laugh, this would be it

Episode three was pretty cool, leaving low production values aside. The ayakashi learning curve is probably going to continue throughout the series, but I'd like to see some character development nonetheless...

... maybe Pam recovering the "human" part of herself. The way she behaved in this episode just goes to show she's been a frequent ayakashi user.

Okey wtf...full shots of nakes breasts certainly wasn't something I was expecting from this series Not that I am complaining - fanservice bath scene FTW!
A new enemy shows up and is killed off at the end - typical single standing arc scene. I wonder why everyone is so attracted to hime...is she the school idol or something XD
Crazy dude with bount powers...in fact I thought he was a ripoff of that old fart bount (from bleach if anyone still doesn't know what I'm talking about).

Nice ep...looks like it will be a sticker

At least this coward proved to be useful with his stretchy salamander...

-A new term, kanzentai (perfected form?) appears, which is the combined form of an ayakashi and human...

-We also get to see what happens when a user falls under complete control of the ayakashi.

-And only Orie and Hime get saved from the fish's belly~ Thanks to ayakashi-Yuu.

-So the big baddies want Yuu to become a kanzentai...

this show is an original show for At-X so it expected that it can get away with things network shows can't. though the show is also broadcasting on other networks.

Could be 'perfected form', or even 'perfect pair' (I don't know what kanji is used).

The animation has set its own tempo, I believe. While it could be a bit better, it's consistent (at the very least <.<). And yeah, perhaps Hime doesn't give off that Kotori vibe due to poor anime character designs (Eimu has by far the best visual anime design), but I think she very much is the most popular girl in school.

I don't want to comment on the story because 4 episodes are still way too easy to say anything... but I have to point out that the animation really sucks... the close shots are ok, but whenever anything is shown in middle or long range, it is simply deformed beyond recognition...

Is it just me or are the action and suspense scenes the equivalent of what you'd find from a kindergarten picture book?

Voice acting seems to be a bit sub-par too... :/

Gah...I was about to label this ep as a total WTF and waste of time, then the end just had to save it
But the first WTF comes from a sudden battle at the start between pan and Eimu...that was a low point for me seen as it made no sense where the jump came from (and who was the other guy, tied up?). The rest of the ep alsomade little sense but the end revealed that it was a little plot by the villains, trying to control yuu through a dream (or so I think it was). The series hasn't gotten to the stage where I want to drop it yet...but it better pick up soon >_<

-Only in anime could characters not see that Orie looks so similar to Izumi...

-Only the beginning and end are part of reality and the rest in the middle were all in Yuu's mind (by Mr. chuckle). I have no idea how those two met or why Hime went and found out about the ayakashi, because they seemed to have skipped something...
The guy who was tied up was that salamander ayakashi guy from the previous episode, by the way.

-Assuming the information in the dream is true, then that snow created ayakashi and Izumi was a user.

-Apparently, Mr. chuckle has to sit in a wheelchair with red tubes attached to it...

A very confusing episode, but regardless, it seems Pan has betrayed Mr. chuckle?

Next time - It seems best not to think too hard about what happened when and why... Either way... Next time, what happened to Izumi and some chibi cat girl.
