The way I see it after almost two decades of using the internet is that most people's attitude is very different on- and off-line. Plus some role-playing (in any form and/or degree) helps most people cope with how they think they must behave IRL.

I don't get it, maybe when its played for fun like SAO's first/last episode couple but then I wonder what about the things doing so implies on yourself?

I need a better explanation.

As all living beings we have one life, and all of our actions (including our attitude) affect it and guide it into a specific route. But being human, we also have this nasty habit of thinking about what would happen if we made a different choice or the circumstances under which we made it were different (including being a member of the opposite sex).

Now unfortunately most people have no real control on their lives, and just follow the flow, never rethinking whats, ifs, hows, etc. But a lot of us do (some consciously, but more not), so the need arises to alter our behavior (i.e. change) or if that's not possible because of social obligations, pretend temporarily to do so... therefore pagan celebrations of this attribute have survived into modern totalitarian religion (e.g. Halloween, Greco-Roman Mysteries, etc).

Pretending to be a different person is a cathartic experience that helps one either evolve his personality or decide that he prefers to stay the same by experiencing things that he or she normally can not...

... and I hope that was a more enlightening explanation

I am NOT a substitute for her eccentric desires and weird fantasies.

Not even if she posts a photo of herself in maid costume here.

^ Let's take a step back and think about this a bit.

Can anyone here confirm Sumeragi isn't a loli?

That's a new one, usually people suggest I look like a vampire, but this is kind of nice too I guess
