I disagree. No Japanese or any Asian can do justice to live action Claymore. They have to white Caucasians, especially from Scandanavia, tall, light blond hair and features which quite similar to the manga.

I agree with M1A2, only Scandinavian can live action Claymore. Anh the era of Claymore is near Industrial Age of Euro.

....And where they will have their power muscles? Not the chest area, these big two ones are not Muscles

Well, i was surfing on a friends page, and found this pic. and saw the Aura of her, and it perfectly fits for the role of being Teresa...Or she could fit as Galatea...

Well, see this, I an Asian, from Malaysia. I preferred Asian women but I am not blind to the fact a live action Claymore is more suitable for real Caucasian females. And not because they have bigger bust. Hahahahaha.

Their name is already very Western origin, we don't see popular Japanese names such as Midori or Kasumi for Claymore operator names. And not many Claymore operators have Asian like features except for few like Irene/Ilena. Irene/Ilena reminded me of those East European look actually to be honest. Galatea reminded me of Swedish girl I seen before long time ago.

I hope you get what I mean, not because I am a racist or anything.

No, i understand. You where joking... Me, too. But if you think your point clearly. the most Anime Real-Live shows are taken with "Nippon's Idols". And they are mostly Nippon Girls or Man A friend of mine, is more Otaku then i am. He collect even Japanese Anime real life shows.... example: Sailor-Moon ones, Cuty Honey flash and so on...

and for your dream , they need surely a bigger budget then normal

I'd like my Claymores being cosplayed by their respective seyuu.

Even if obviously they are very different in aspect and all, it would feel very real imho ^^

I know this a very late response but I'm new lol

Just want to say that they did a tremendous job. The seiyuus and the producers of the anime. The seiyuus were superb. They must've worked really hard. The producers really did a good job at gathering the fabulous seiyuus. I mean, they are all big names, aren't they? And quite a number of my faves were taken in, Inoue Kikuko-sama being the top of it all (I'm also a big fan of Mitsuishi Kotono-sama, Shinohara Emi-san and Takayama Minami-san).

Romi Paku as Teresa was my favorite voice in the show. It would have been a very different experience if they had picked someone else. Teresa is what made me fall in love with the show and get into the manga.

As for Live action actors... hmmm. Here are some of my ideas.

Teresa- (...thinking Demi More if only for her voice)
Clare - Kate Beckinsale (she did well as a quiet action hero in underworld at least)
Galatea- (maybe Nicole Kidman?)
Irene- Jennifer Connelly (it'd work with elf ears)
Deneve - Janine Turner (from northern exposure looks just like her)
Helen - Elisha Cuthbert (... maybe... opened to better suggestions)
Riful - Natalie Portman
Duph - Vin Diesel
Ophelia - Cameron Diaz
Miria - Jessica Biel ? (not sure on that one,)
First Male AB - Matthew Macfadyen (deep voice)
Isley - Heath Ledger
Priscilla - Sienna Miller ? (Maybe...Scarlet Johansen?)
Rubel - Patrick Stewart
Rigald - Denzel Washington. (ok ok he's just awesome. Doesn't match character design, but I can take some artistic license because it's all hypothetical. And after seeing Man on Fire I think he'd be perfect)
Rigald 2 - Christian Bale (also could pull it off and matches character design.)
Raki - some nameless kid actor

That's at least what I think now. I think Natalie Portman and Vin Disel as Riful and Duff would be hilarious. Cameron Diaz giggling and saying lets play a game would be fun too.

Koji has a distinct voice like Hiroaki Hirata (Collector) I was a little shocked to see him being casted as Isley . Koji voice tends to be mischevious while Isley is a serious chracter . But I think he has done justice to the role

I don't like it when they put in a high pitched voice in a serious anime but as long
as they keep it within certain boundries it can fit in well. Many fans were disappointed with flora's voice I still like Miyu Matsuki thou

I really don't care that much about who voices who when I didn't read the manga before watching the anime since I don't have expectations and that what happened for me in Claymore.

I found the VA to be fantastic. I specially liked Ophelia's VA because she used tuned levels more than anyone else. The bandit leader's VA was also great. I am not saying that any of them were bad but I like those 2 the most.

Well that definitely surprised me! I don't think she's ever voiced another "unstable" type character before...

Seki Tomokazu FTW!

And yea, Ophelia's VA (Shinohara Emi) was also very good.

I didn't realize this right away but one of the three awakened beings in the Pieta arc was voiced by Yamaguchi Kappei, aka L from Death Note

I really do not know how those people can make those voices! Their appearances, by all means, doesn't give the slightest hint that they could make them. -.-
