There's still a lot of events to go before the Greece arc (which itself can easily take at least 12 episodes to complete). End of the World arc will easily fit into the new season, which can end with the crew getting onto the plane.

When is the new season coming out? I stopped reading the manga at the point where season 2 ends cause I prefer not to know what happens after so that watching the anime will be fun. If it's still long then I might consider catching up on the manga.

It'd be rather odd if they did, since they'd skip out on tons of character development and progression, including Hayate's.

Making it into? It's been running in a magazine shooting for a young boys' demographic from the start, so aside from ramping up the humor, I don't see how the first season tried to change it into anything it wasn't.

Even though I have very little, if not zero, idea of what happens in the manga, I hope that the third season brings the comedy up to at least half of what it was in the first season. That's my favorite part.

I guess I should have been clearer in my original post.

What I meant was that the first anime was more aimed towards kids as opposed to the second season (and some portions of the manga as well). This was apparent not only in the content, but also with the time slot the show was aired in, the disclaimer to ask people to not sit too close to the television and watch in a good lit room etc. As opposed to the second season where it aired in a late night slot and having considerable more fan-service (the first anime did have it as well, but it wasn't to the extent of the second and was incorporated into the humor moreso)

So my point is that the first season target audience is much younger (kids) than the second (late night audience). That doesn't mean that because they aim for different targets that they exclude the other, since adults can enjoy the first season as much as kids do, and vise versa with the second.

As a side not, even though Weekly Shonen Sunday target audience is young boy's, it actually has a much wider appeal than that as a magazine and can be seen in the content they publish.

Honestly, as much as I like how the events unfolded in the manga, the first season will always have a soft spot in my heart for being much better at comedy than any of the other version of the story. I had a blast watching it, and really wished SynergySP had gotten their hands on the Second Season. Alas, they hadn't, but the second season was pretty fun regardless and I liked it, even if the comedy didn't click with me the same way it did with the first anime. (not many comedies do that with me)

Of course, whether or not this becomes closer to the first seasons comedic tone or takes a turn to a more dramatic tone is all speculation on my part. At the moment I hope for a liberal adaptation of a story arc in the manga, though I don't want it to go completely serious, but just enough to make me worry about what will happen to the cast. I welcome comedy, and would be more than happy to accept something close to the first season, but I still want to have them keep in tone with the manga's story this time round.

I have this feeling that this season will be the golden age of Hayate's.

No. In fact, A-tan wasn't ever shown or mentioned in any promo material, so it's much more likely that she won't be in this movie at all.
