hi, i've been a fan since the early 90's, starting off with MACROSS/ROBOTECH
like many, if not most fans of my era did.

my interest was pretty fixated in Mecha Sci-Fi until the Great U.S. Anime DVD Boom hit, and then i began branching out, slowly at first, mostly via "TENCHI MUYO!"
an then into more conventional Harem/Romance fare.
2003's Ai Yori Aoshi was among the first non-Mecha Anime to really blow me away,
and i still rank it right on up there with the best.

2007's The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya as among my most recent ventures,
and while i wouldn't exactly rank it in the rarefied top tier
that series such as the aforementioned Ai Yori Aoshi and Ah! My Goddess! T.V. occupy,
it does in fact contain my favorite Female character of all time, which pretty much makes the whole series for me...

Hi. I'm Taco-Calamitous, and I'm trying to get through a break up with a fiance right now. Also was interested in starting on a new forum recently. Thought about going back to a forum I'd been a part of for 12 years and was a moderator of a number of years, but I met my ex there, and they pissed me off about 5 months ago (which was why I left) so... too much history there. Plus I've "left" there multiple times, and maybe this time it's time to not go back. Also, it was a forum dedicated to a video game series I feel has gone rather downhill in the last several games that company put out. Give you a hint; it's a rather popular JRPG series.

Also I joined the Air Force a little over a year ago. Lots of stress in my life, though I think I tend to not let it bleed into my forum messages much. Still, I'm trying to find something to fill the hole with, and I've always been posting on forums since like 99 or 2000, I'm not sure which. There's a smaller forum I've been posting on, but they don't post much there, and my ex is also a member of that one, heh... Also, you could probably find my dA page by googling my screen name. I'm not sure how adverse any of you would be to anthropomorphic animal characters, but oh well. That is what you will see if you google that. (One of my biggest things I was thankful to my ex for was that she didn't mind that at all.)

Me too. Big bro introduced me to Robotech before I knew what anime was (probably before he did, too. It first aired in the mid 80's, I believe.)

Another big, early one for me was the movie Akira. I've since read the manga too, and while the story is a lot more detailed and on a larger scale than the movie, I still love the movie.

Studio Ghibli movies are also favorites of mine. I don't think I've seen all of them, but I love The Cat Returns, Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, Porco Rosso, etc, etc.

Also love both FMA series (although I like Brotherhood a lot more), Cowboy Bebop (who doesn't? I'm also looking forward to Space Dandy), Evangelion, Gurren Lagann, and I also thought the first season of Darker Than Black (haven't seen the second), Madoka Magicka, Death Note, and I suppose Hellsing were good. Dragon Ball Z, Bleach, Pokemon, Digimon (first and second seasons) I also have to admit to watching. I really liked what I saw of Bobobo Bo Bo Bobobo (or whatever the title was, heh...) although I didn't see all of it. Seen a little bit of FMP as well, although that doesn't impress me as much. Really, a lot of anime doesn't impress me that much, but the last two I've given a chance to watch (Madoka Magicka and Darker than Black) turned out pretty good. Maybe I can get back into this.

Other recent stuff: Louie, Sherlock, Breaking Bad, Venture Bros, Regular Show, Adventure Time, MlP:FiM (yes I know)

This is probably a longer intro than y'all are used to, looking at a few others on this page. Hope it wasn't Too much info.

Well, hi, I'm new here so please take care of me. Is it okay to talk about things I like? Okay, so my favorite anime is Natsume Yuujinchou, it's my favorite manga as well, Natsume Takashi is my favorite character. I love gentle and heartwarming things. Other animes that are my favorites are skip beat, kuragehime, koisuru boukun and koe no kitachi. I like any gender of anime. I love Hayao Miyazaki and Ghibli in general, my favorite movie is spirited away, after that mimi wa sumaseba, that's not well know and howl's moving castle.
