Remember episode 1 part where Rize tried to tickle Chino to make her smile because Cocoa wants to take picture of Chino's smiling face, pause the video for that moment and see Chino tickled face, and Rize felt bad for doing it. If Cocoa ever does some certain of phycial contact other than giving a pure hug to Chino and Cocoa to see Chino's face of itchiness, what will happen? Will Cocoa herself be uncontrollable at that point? |

Mocha & Cocoa are literally like big sister like little sister as both had the same quirk, habits, & uh........ issues , she like a ten folds deadlier version of Cocoa, OK? packs of flour is now a code for crack pot? silly Rize at least she didn't travel by plane or she jumped into hot water by the security check........
that moment when the almighty warrior princess Rize also fell victim to Mocha's advances , must be either the big sis powers or senpai powers, but not sure if Mocha is about the same age as Rize or older than her, you guys also notice that she isn't even frightened by Rize's toy gun unlike her little sister still not sure if Chino's grandpa even remembers Mocha when he's still living as human, that along with younger Cocoa or the fact could he even recognize her during that flashback in season 1?, also poor Aoyama, the fact her number one fan thought she was an impostor & pulling a prank, was like there a way to show evidence she's the real deal? like a photo of her printed on her books?

I like how before Mocha's overpowering aura, Rize is virtually defenseless. No one so far has been able to break her down as quickly as this. I would have loved to see Sharo's reaction to that. I imagine her getting quite depressed over how much she would like to have been the one cuddling Rize.
Chino is apparently very lonely without her mother or having any siblings of her own. Plus, it shows how much she's grown to appreciate Cocoa's company, even if she acts rather distant and cool about it. The Hoto sisters are very much alike. Both in love with rabbits (or just cute things in general), both tend to have a poor sense of direction (though it seems Cocoa is worse in that regard), both are easily distracted (methinks Cocoa set a record in how fast she got sidetracked by a rabbit) and both are quite skilled in baking bread (then again, they are part of a family of bakers, so that's expected). And once again, Mocha has Cocoa beat on that. It's not hard to understand why Cocoa wants to show off as much as possible. Poor Midori, for not being believed when she tells her biggest fan that she wrote that book. I wonder if that eventually got resolved, or if this will continue to be a running gag throughout the rest of the show. I await Mocha's reaction to Maya and Megu. That way, Cocoa can show once and for all who the 'real' big sister is around there. Also, that end card. Sharo really gets the short end of the stick a lot, doesn't she?

anyone saw the end card of Syaro's house on fire as Cocoa & gang tries to put it out? i hope either that's just her nightmare or an imagine spot & not a foreshadowing.......... that was uh... a bit disturbing........ despite the comedic situation........

Looking back over the ep, I enjoyed an amusing reference to the first episode of s1.
S1: "the rabbits aren't here... the rabbits aren't here... THE RABBITS AREN'T HERE!" S2: "Cocoa's not here... Cocoa's not here... COCOA'S NOT HERE!" |

About the latest episode: I'm surprised by how different my impression of Mocha when I read the manga in the past compared to the anime. Even more so given that anime has always been following the manga quite faithfully with some minor change and few addition to smoothern the transition between each gags. Manga: Mocha is a mature yet friendly big sister who loves to surprise people. Anime: Mocha is a playful and lively big sister who is also rather mischievous. Maybe it's due to voice acting and general directing, I feel the anime take on her is more unique. Chino related the feeling of being cuddle by Mocha to that of a mother. I wonder whether it's due to the height differences. Because Mocha is taller than Cocoa, Chino's face is positioned closer to the breasts which invokes the feeling of a mother and that Chino also misses her actual mother. OTOH, Rize has a more usual reaction of someone not used to being cuddled. More precisely, how BOYS would normally react to their doting mother/big sister. Given that Rize is quite a tomboy so it's only natural for her to react that way. From what Flower mentioned previous episode and various comments on this episode, I'm starting to see why Cocoa's efforts to become a big sister seems sad in a way, although I wouldn't call her case inferiority complex. One had to bare some resentment toward the people he/she feel are superior for it to be counted as inferiority complex. Cocoa is more of a case of tremendous idolization. It’s similar to inferiority complex except you have positive outlook toward the people you feel are superior. Cocoa is type who easily idolize other people especially her big sister whom she views as her main role model hence Cocoa attempting to become more similar to Mocha doesn’t come off as much of negative light to me. |

Anyone else listened to the OP album yet? The individual versions of Noupoi all sound magnificently lovely. Dying of moe times 5. Rize's and Syaro's versions are my favourite, then Cocoa's because it sounds the most playful. Chino's and Chiya's versions are by no means bad either.
