Norn9 Norun + Nonetto Anticipation
Quote:
Plot Summary: The story takes place a little in the future. Guided by one particular song, young elementary school student Suzuhara Sorata, from the Heisei Era, is warped through a time skip to an unfamiliar place that looks much like the towns from the Meiji or Taishou period from his textbooks. In this world, he meets three young ladies and nine young men and joins them on a journey aboard the mysterious Norn ship, a giant globe that floats in midair. Announced over a year ago, the official site is finally opened today (few hours ago): http://norn9-nonet.com/ The series is based on an otome game with a sizable character cast. The release date is still unknown yet though. For more info on cast and staff: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-new...als-cast-staff

I heard both good things about Norn9 and CR.
CR sounds like it might be more fun while Norn9 sounds angsty. But three MCs and a small group of guys for each instead of the usual 5guys + 1 girl scenario? Might be fun.

^ Might be fun, or viewers could get twelve episodes revolving around thirteen characters. Yup, that's definitely not a disaster in the making.
But I'm more interested in the fact that the protagonist seems to be a boy. It might mean we could have more of an emphasis on plot rather than the usual superficial touching upon of each character that adds little to no complexity to the show or relationships. I don't think any otome adaptation has come close to La Corda d'Oro: Primo Passo, whose anime and manga I really enjoyed; granted, it was actually given a proper number of episodes to tell its story. |

I heard a lot of good hype for this game, so I'll probably watch at least a few episodes to see if it holds my interest, especially since OnoD, Noriaki Sugiyama, Sugita and CCP from Touken Ranbu among the cast...
I don't think this is going to be as hilariously dirty as Dance with Devils

at 12/13 episodes? They're going to have to focus like three episodes on one girl/harem and tie it together somehow...I guess.
Has anyone played this? Is there a casual route since most adaptations of games like this usually take that road?

I don't know about this show - the cast seems too large, but I guess eventually they'll just focus on the heroine and Kaji Yuuki's character, so if they do it right they can keep it relatively tight. |

I haven't gotten a chance to play the game yet, but the main protag in the game starts off as Sorata Suzuhara. Then there are three female MC's you can choose from, and each female has three love interests you can follow.
Some time ago I read Hinano's review of the game. The game is apparently kind of convoluted. Her review has a final thoughts section towards the bottom where she gives her general impressions and what players can expect from the game. Of course if you want to read it, read it at your own risk.

Sentai announced that its streaming site, The Anime Network Online, would carry the simulcast for the show. It's a true simulcast with the Japanese broadcast. Norn9 will debut
