With all the "normal" here and there, I wonder how Kamachi would define the word "normal"

Just kidding. It's just that I pity all of Kamachi's normal characters who had to go through a lot of crap

He is totally normal. He gets injured with normal means. He had human fears.

He had no powers whatsoever, and the only thing that makes him special is that he has very close encounters Yokai since birth and still expanding his connections. And most of his battles are won by common sense and what little knowledge he had from the occult which he forced himself to learn because his household yokai are troublesome.

That's why the trope "Badass Normal" was invented, I didn't say Shinobu isn't badass. In fact let's face it, this guy faced death straight in the face all alone, then proceeded to stop her. And he's a flesh and blood human with no powers other than knowledge of the occult that just keeps on piling.
