In the first half of this series, it was Mui since she wanted to get her brother back, not to mention Takeshi could relate himself to her. Now that Mui's troubles are solved, Ishoshima's problems are starting to flare up, causing Takeshi to get closer to her.

He saw her get quartered and die in his dream so it's pretty reasonable for him to want to protect her.

Mui had no problems in his dream. If anything, her bikini mishap points to what he is wanting from Mui.

That's what I thought at first as well, but then in episode 5 (I think) the blondie/fortune teller from the Ghost Trailers said she'd get Twilight back.

I do think Takeshi's mom is an interesting character though. Since the beginning, I've always thought she might be a magician herself.

Spoiler for Episode 8:

Pretty boring episode. The only thing slightly interesting is how Takeshi sees Gekkou joining the magic academy. It's not bad per se but if we compare to other episodes it doesn't have enough lightheartedness to balance a little. Even the flashbacks weren't very good. The only thing that's slightly different for Dr. Ver in this series is that he's less insane so far. The show becomes too concentrated on angst and darkness thrown with little purpose and the fight scenes weren't animated well, so I doubt it will end up good. Regardless I have my own will to finish the series and pass it off as forgettable unless it twist some things such as the grim brothers' relationship and such.

I always wonder just what is the plot here?!
At first I thought they were going for just a "let's get back her brother" , then I thought about a high scale war.
Then suddenly it would turn out to be a clash between two brothers after the taming of a weapon whom some woman wants to get it back.
I don't even get what's going on any more.
And I don't know why in every battle they make me feel that eye's evasive magic is unique in this world or something O_O

Gekkou has arrived to stir things up.
That was pretty much obvious from the get go.
His obviously fake apology felt forced.
Takeshi's prophetic dreams are spot on.
He should go with his gut feeling about Gekkou.
The history lesson was interesting.
Hopefully, the story will get more intense soon.

No one said "how unusual it was" but rather he did a good job at controlling the flow of magical energy. He said that the previous owner should have lost his/her (the gender was still ambiguous till this point) magical powers and should be living as a human to be exact.


^These two points (premise) are simply not enough to conclude that Takeshi's mother was the previous owner. It's like arguing,

A murder happened down the crowded street, however no one knew who killed the victim even in the crowd, but there was a monkey there so,

1) The monkey was the only unusual one there, so he must be the culprit!

Your deductive logic was similar to that, in a sense that both contain flying illogicality.

It's totally clear what you and few (like 3 or so) others are trying to do here.


It would have been understandable if you guys made this assumption at this point, but to actually "call it" before any kind of clues were given...yeah, you people pushed it too much.

I gotta say, this is a strange series to me. I've been a day 1 watcher, and have watched each ep the day it aired (very unusual for me), but I have this weird feeling after every ep so far: "o~kay". Really, I feel that if I was a normal person, I should have dropped it by now I'm strangely hooked though. I'm just bamboozled as to why I stick to this series when I am behind on other, probably more worthy, series than Mahou Sensou...

Isoshima's was always smaller than Mui's. It's just that her old uniform accentuated it quite nicely while the newer one doesn't. For me, I'm not watching this one as a drama, action, or romance series. I'm watching this as a humor, for shits and giggles. The only reason why I could bear it.

It's coming close to an end, though there was way too much drama in the second half. To start it off, there's a major attack that causes the magic school to self-destruct and cause most of the students being injured. Then comes the melodrama into play between Takeshi, Kurumi and Gekkou: there was way more rage-inducing talk than the anticipated fight, that's what happens when our poor blonde caused a lot of insecurities as well Takeshi. I usually somewhat tolerate a bit of the incoherence the show had but this is way beyond horrible. I hope the drama ends hopefully soon though I knew this is not going to happen anyway.

Finally got to episode 8 ... so the sensei seems to know something is up between Takeshi and Gekkou.

Interesting visit by Keppei. I was a bit surprised how he just blatantly told Takeshi he wanted him to join the Ghost Trailers, especially since they already have Gekkou. On that note, I wonder how Gekkou would sit with that, since he wants to get revenge on Takeshi.

Looks like my suspicion of Takeshi and Gekkou's mother being a magician was true. She's always seemed like a mysterious character in my opinion since the beginning of this series. I wonder if Gekkou knows this as well?

Anyone know why did Takeshi's magic activate when he was speaking to the principle?
