I think the designs look fine, but they're done with anime-style shading rather than his usual CG shading, which makes it look "cheaper", I guess. But anyway, someone can create a thread in the LN/Manga Section to discuss it.

So I just read volume 9 and the first few spoilers for volume 10 and the first thing that comes to mind is, "what the hell?!". I guess there must have been a big uproar about how this LN ending when it first came out which is kind of warranted as the author apparently wrote themselves into a corner with all of the Sena development.
Personally I don't necessarily care about the apparent end pairing itself but the fact that it came so out of left field is what bothers me. I mean it was literally the last page when it happened and it ends on a cliffhanger to boot. Though I do find it funny how Kodaka is pretty much ignored by the other girls prior to this happening. Well all that's left is the epilogue I suppose. |

But he never told that Yukimura straight in her face. And why? How does Yukimura usually react if something bad happens in her life? She easily gets upset, cries and literally wants to kill herself. In her own way she always forces Kodaka to do what she likes. She forces him to give her orders, she forces him to be her Aniki, she don't take him serious, she always has her head in the clouds, a normal conversation beyond all those things she is interested in is not possible with her. Kodaka is dishonest the whole time just to keep her happy. My prediction is that some huge conflicts will happen in Vol. 11 which is caused by Kodaka who finally becomes "honest". The club forged them together, but outside the club some relationships will break apart immediately. Kodaka's relationship with Rika and Sena will remain unchanged, they just have developed through the time. Kodaka is afraid of sudden changes in his life, so he basically will not leave the route he has already taken and it's more than unlikely that he takes the risk to destroy his most important relationships he has achieved up until now. And after all - the next volume is supposed to be the last! So... new relationships in Kodaka's life? Someone like him, a very vulnerable young man, who wants to live a happy and normal life without much trouble? No way... |

The funny thing about this story is this. For the longest time in the series there felt like there wasnt any real romance it was just a bunch of friends getting together hanging out having their usual crazy fun. There was some nakedness but overall it didnt feel romance based. Once Yozora cut her hair everything changed and Sena's confession made it far worse.
The romantic development went to Sena because none of the others seemed legit romantic options for a while. Yozora hid her feelings and Yukimura and Rika were too unstable for romantic options. If Yozora was more honest about her past relationship with Kodoka then u'd have a fun situation. The story behind the neighbors club forming and Yozora's backstory make it almost painful to watch because Yozora becomes a tragic heroine

I'm not really sure that tragic is the right word for Yozora, because honestly most of the shit that's happened to her was her own fault. Yeah, I know she had no control over her parents splitting up or her sister being so successful, but the rest?
Her refusal to get close to anyone? Doing her best to make sure she and Kodaka were the only ones in the club? Her making Yukimura into a cute female servant who was utterly devoted to Kodaka (and later putting her in an outfit that made her a popular archetype trending at the time)? So on and so forth? All of that were things she alone was responsible for. 'bout the only thing that wasn't of her own doing was when her hair got ruined and she had to cut it.

The club was supposed to be only for Kodaka, hence why in the early volumes she was trying to chase them away, but you know that right?. |

^Unfortunately you're wrong also because the getting close to everyone was intentional. The club was for Kodoka but Rika and Yukimura also presented a problem for the same reason. The fact is Yozora didnt get close to any girls because of the fact that her mother was betrayed.
The one thing that made yozora a tragic heroine was the fact that she never revealed the truth about her identity as Sora. if Yozora revealed herself as Sora it would've been a completely different story if she did that the neighbors club would've been totally unnecessary and this story wouldnt exist. by hiding Sora for so long she let the others get involved and thats ultimately what ruined her.

Just read chapters 2 and 3 of volume 10,and I'm wondering about the negative comments about the volume,as those 2 chapters alone is comparable to Oregairu in the quality of the writing (or maybe it didn't have the harem/shipping antics that pulled the quality of past volumes?).That werewolf game was fun to read and delves a bit into the psychology of the characters, especially Yozora.

There is no information yet. It's an "epilogue" that still obviously has some loose ends to resolve, so it doesn't mean that it'll be an irrelevant after-story. But obviously all this depends on getting whatever issues there are resolved to an extent that the author will write it and the publisher will release it. We'll see...

Kodaka gets confessed to by Yukimura and she basically makes out with him during afterward while he was in a daze he just muttered yes. But right before he basically came to the realization that he was in love with Rika.
