It may be a personal preference, but I wish all recap episodes had absolutely no new animation at all by some unwritten rule. Because then I can safely skip them entirely.

I hate it when I need to go through stuff that I have already seen just to see a few minutes of new animation.

So then by skipping this I'm missing virtually nothing, correct? Everything in this episode is just recapping.

Yes, aside from the preview for the next episode.

I feel the same way. I only watched it in case there was something new

I really don't like recap episodes.

5/10

The only note worthy here is Eren getting kicked.

I've seen that theory, and it's one of the... more *out there* theories. But the way the recap was laid out, it could've been Eren sitting in the cell and dreaming about the grass scene where he was having a nightmare from the previous 13 eps.

So... a dream within a dream within a dream... then he wakes up. ^_^

The show is going to run for 25 episodes, so this means actually 24 episodes + this recap episode. Probably or not, this recap was to stall the audience for the time being.

The purpose? Well, I think it is to prepare the audience for the second cour which is going to be more messy, gorier, bloodier, and a doomsday rollercoaster of mayhem.

I don't think the recap counts as its numbered 13.5 and not 14

Cal.syoboi lists 25 scheduled episodes without the recap, so 26 all together if we count 13.5.

I mean hell, by that definition, Sports overtime is far more guilty of bumping a show around.

But I could say the same about the people who voted 10. I voted 1 but it actually doesn't matter what we vote since it has no impact on the story whatsoever.
