IIRC this episode was just 1 chapter in the manga, right?

Well well, looks like the animé people aren't fans of striped underwear since they decided to give Minerva black panties to match her old lady voice and makeup.

To be fair I don't they've ever ended a long running anime for a year but then restarted it as soon as the manga had gotten farther.

I think that proves they're gonna stick with FT. It must really be popular. Stuff like Kenshin and Bleach and even this same authors Rave Master didn't get that. Kenshin got a few OVAs (one gave it an ending, albiet not the manga one, and another was just a retelling of an older arc) but the rest of the manga's story is, as of over 20 years later forever unfinished. Bleach only ended a while ago, but it doesn't look like its gonna be picked up anytime soon.

Admittedly those earlier exampled ended due to tanking ratings, where at FT seemed to be doing good, just out of material to animate. FT's anime was supposed to end after the Nirvana arc but it did so well they kept it going which is probably why they eventually hit pacing problems.

There's no good reason for fillers at this point because i'd say we're fairly far ahead of things so just bring on tartaros

It's official and well deserved!
Now they can celebrate properly.
Things were done on the outside.
The inside of that castle was still filled with conflict.
Floor sinking weirdness peaked my interest.
I knew there was something else going on.
But to think it was future Rogue, didn't expect that.
Guess things are never boring for Fairy Tail.

They adapted these two chapters quite well. Now that the last storyline of this arc is what's left no more jumping around to each plot point.

I caught up with ep14 and 15. While 15 was quite interesting, 14 was just plain stupid. Laxus beating Jura out of nowhere and Erza randomly activating second origin after she was beaten up. I got tired of Leon/Cheria antics after a few seconds as well. Yes they don't get along as well as Juvia/Gray but please don't just stay there and get hit. After all that buildup, Sting just surrenders. You could remove him from the show and nothing would change.

They probably felt silly a couple of episodes when they fixed their translation problems.

Though given CR's lack of attention to detail, I would not be surprised if their anime translator just shrugged it off instead of feeling silly or embarrassed.

Quite liked the episode. It was still suspenseful despite my reading of the manga. And maybe since it's been a while, I forgot what future Rogue is after, because his current cause seems too...good for the lengths he'll go. Plus we saw him and Natsu fighting in the OP so there's that.

I wonder what that blue piece of cloth tied up on Natsu's waist in the opening animation is for? I can't seem to remember him having it in the manga, even more, what its use is and where he got it...
