Fruits Basket

hey guys, i was just looking at AniDB for some info on this anime, and i saw that one of the categories was tragedy, and after watching school days, i really dont want anything to do with endings like that, so if anyone can tell me weather there really is a big tragic event like that or not, that would be great, i am ok with a bit of tragedy, just nothing to sad... thanks.

It's not very tragic. It's pretty much a feel-good anime that will induce a few tears; nothing really depressing.

Don't worry, there are some sad parts, but the series overall isn't depressing.

It won't leave an impression on you like school days did. BUT don't get me wrong, there are some pretty dramatic moments, but the end won't leave you going "WTF?!?!1!" like School Days and leave you in a state of mental depression, like it did for some people.

Also the end itself isn't is pretty open to another season, but there isn't one. That should give you a hint on what kind of ending it is.

Again, a few tears. Hatori is hardly a main character. The truly depressing situations are all secondary, so as not to ruin the mood.
