I finally caught up to this anime at episode 3. While these episodes feel like a building up of the team, it was just bizarre how the last episodes end up with them leaving the concerned victim behind.

Chie goes gun-ho to try rescue to Yukiko. However, halfway through, she and the team goes, "let's take a break and have some drinks", and returns to the normal world. What the heck!?!?

All the talk about the game makes me want to go out and purchase it, but alas, there is just not enough time to do that.

They take a break because Chie can't go any further. She is too tired to moved and will be a hindrance in the upcoming battle. Plus if they let Chie rest a day or too. Then they will have larger force to attack the dungeon.

Hmmm... Isn't Yukiko in possible danger where she could die any second? It didn't take to long for the last victims to be killed. If they take a break and rest for a day or two, it might be too late.

the last victim last few days inside the tv before it dies. Plus there is requirement for the victim inside the tv to die. The requirement is the fog. Remember that when the victims was found. There's fog all over the town. If it's been raining heavily for days. A fox will surely come. And if the town is foggy. Inside of the TV. The fog will be gone. Remember too that inside the TV it's full of fog that's why they use those glasses. It's opposite to the outside world. So even if they leave Yukiko for a day or two. Nothing will happen. Though the one who throws the victim inside the TV might come and kill her but so far with the records shown in the first and second victim. The suspect just throws the victim inside the tv and let her die.

The first victim the announcer had been reported missing for few days or is it week before the body been found hanging in the roof. Same for the 2nd victim. Saki sempai it's the same. Few days before she's been found dead.

I am not too sure about the announcer, but as for Saki sempai, the timeline was quite clear.

-The group met her the afternoon of the 13th.
-Yuu see's her on TV that midnight, but it is not confirmed if she is in the TV world yet (same with Yukiko, since it took a day for her to go there).
-The group goes to the TV world on the 14th, but there was no mention of Saki going there by Kuma.
-They return.
-Saki is found dead on the 15th, either in the morning or noon. Yousuke mentions that he saw Saki on Midnight TV the past night.
-The second night, so far, seems to indicate they are in the TV world (both for Saki and Yukiko).
-The group returns to the TV world, and this time, Kuma mentions that Saki was there.

If you take the events as currently shown in the anime, it looks like Saki was killed within a day. Hence, the urgency I thought would have been needed to locate Yukiko ASAP, not, "let's take a breather, and if she is still alive, we'll rescue her at a later time."

Saki just coincidentally happened to be put in the TV world right before the fog would have lifted in the TV world, so she died within a day. The fog lifts in the TV world whenever it sets-in the real world, which happens after several days of rain. That's not the case with Yukiko or any other victims later on, they are alright for a while. It's also a reason why the calendar has a weather icon for each day, you need to pay close attention to it and gauge the time you have until the fog lifts.

Also, the Midnight Channel does show who the next victim is, but it isn't until what's being shown on it is perfectly clear of static that the person has actually entered the TV world.

To sum up, Saki was put in at a very bad time, which was shortly before the fog lifted, so there was virtually no chance of her being saved even if the characters already knew what was going on.

If you wait longer, you can instead get the new Persona 4: The Golden for the PSPvita.

Ahhh so there is a purpose for the calendar change

Wow Narukami got another persona. So is he going to get a new one every ep? So Yukiko was able to over come and got her persona as well. Really liked the way her persona looked. Lol at her laughing so hard at the end.

IIRC this is something that's made clearer in the game as in the characters actually discuss this (they basically come to the conclusion that tsunade666 says); it's a very long game and the anime although faithful does remove quite a few things for example the first episode basically portrays the first few hours of the game into 25 minutes.

Symbolism was overdone, the fight was well-animated, but had logic holes, and couldn't we have at least seen interaction between the main character and Chie? Still liked it though, but I really wish the show wouldn't make its video game roots so obvious.

Thanks. The explaination helps, although I wished the anime would have elaborated on that. It was quite jarring in the anime. I would be panicking like crazy if I was in their shoes, not taking a nice drink.

I don't think I will be getting into any games any time soon. That would cut from my anime time, and that would be badddddd.

As I've recalled they did said something like that in the previous episodes, that victims appear during the fog in the real world.

Mah, maybe they'll have a big seat down session after this.

Yeah, they didn't take much time to explain it, but they did say it.

1) The first two victims died when the fog lifted in the TV world
2) The fog lifts in the TV world when it descends on the town of Inaba

That's why the calendar transitions show the weather several days in advance. It's really more important to keep track of the forecast than the date. Also, the midnight channel only appears on rainy nights, as Chie says in episode 1.

Teddy covered this in episode 2, but they blew past it surprisingly fast, considering it's basic information. Chie couldn't go any further, and they really needed her help. The weather was still good, so the pattern suggested that the safest course of action for everyone, including Yukiko, was to rest up and plan the rescue.

Episode 5 will probably go in detail on how the weather system works and the amount of time one needs to save a person trapped in the TV world since they rescued Yukiko and the Investigation Team will officially be formed. I realize the anime has left out things in order to make time and this can be jarring for non-game viewers but the next episode should make things clear.

I laughed when Pyro Jack was harassing Shadow-Yukiko, it sounded a bit like persona sexual harassment if such a thing ever existed. *cough*Mara*cough*

I take it that it's one of those little clues and hints that the audience should pay attention to, this being a mystery story of sorts so they're not suppose to spell out everything.

Episode is good so far with Amagi laughing at the end. Looks like Narukami didn't get any new persona, but the preview shows something interesting and it's more relaxed.
