Question...
is it true that lead mechanical pencils (now most commonly graphite not lead) can be ground up to make a small firework type explosive?

Kaiju Manga or Light Novels

Has there ever been an effort to publish manga or novelizations of any of the Kaiju film characters like Godzilla or Mothra?

Seems to me that would be a fairly obvious winning combination given the possibilities of stories for both existing monsters and possibly some new characters. As with most "great ideas," however it's usually already been tried and failed or there's 86,000 titles already published and I are newb.

It is part of the core ingredients in homemade black powder, but you are going to need ALOT.

EDIT: Never mind, where can I find a store/service in California that makes custom badges (2.5x3 inches)?

Spoiler:

And no (before anyone says something), this is not a boy's scout badge (and definitely not the Boy's Scout of Nigeria badge).

I wasn't aware that lead was an important part of Black powder...
I think I remember in Absinthe and flame throwers (a book on the art of living dangerously) that lead wasn't one of the ingredients.
but your better off making flash powder evil1, I've heard it's a lot more volatile

It's graphite that's important, not lead.

Aren't you the one spamming now? You're making a joke seem like s/he was baiting or something... Even if "pie" were interchangeable with "cake", the answer would still be none left, because I ate all the pieces...

@thevil Would have done better in the Joke thread.

Another extra bit you may want to consider is the + quote button.

Not only it allows you to quote multiple posts in one go, but also lets you carry a quote from one tread to another.

Graphite, or powdered carbon consists of 10% of black powder in the ancient times, Saltpeter is 75%, Sulphur is 15%.

If you wanted to play, douse ammonia-based fertiliser with diesel until it absorbs all the fuel like a sponge. Warning though, one bag of fertiliser (5kg) sponged with diesel as equivalent power of 500g of TNT.

Or if you can get your hands on nitric and sulphuric acid with both pH below 4, boil them in equal parts (150g) and soak cotton wool in it (10g), then leave it to dry. Slowly store in a cool dry place and hammer it into smokeless powder.

The simplest pyrotechnic, of course, is still dry-frying baking flour until desert-dust brown over a skillet. Mixed with ground match-heads it becomes a very stable sparkler powder which bursts into flames rather than slowly burn.

Nah, SaintessHeart's affinity in these matters becomes more plausible when you read some of his more antisocial postings.

I thought those stuff can be derived from Chemistry lessons and university textbooks.

There's really no reason MORE people shouldn't have a basic understanding of it... blame the failure to implement more science in school? But really, humans have a primitive version of the Borg (ask the hive and it answers), just google/wiki.

Are gif picture files the only files that support transparency? Are there any other kind of image files that support it also?
