I'm a little late to the party but I'm pleasantly surprised It's like a mash up/ spoof of element from my top three favorite magical girl series.

The card aspect of Cardcaptor Sakura, the explosive magical battles of Lyrical Nanoha, and the magical mascot with Ruby as with Madoka Magica's Kuby.

Good news I guess. I am curious to see how they will handle the 2wei parts that were foreshadowed in the first manga series, but removed in the anime version. I assume we will see more anime original content.

And to answer your question: I think it depends on how many episodes and cours we get. 2wei is something like five volumes long with over 27 chapters, if I include bonus chapters. Unless they rush things, they can't cover everything in one cours. It would have to be two cours long with I'd say around 20-24 episodes.

and hopefully by the time they're done with season two of the anime the third part of the manga will be finished so we can move straight into season three.

More pics and higher resolution of the one above. These are apparently from an artbook, the character designer of Prisma Illya's anime released for this year's Comiket. The designs are probably 2wei and 3rei spoilers, so beware.

Pretty close to the manga designs I'd say. How will it look animated?

Well, season 1 was first announced in March 2012, and aired beginning July 2013. If we assume a similar schedule, then I'd expect next year is within reason. It's just a matter of whether it'd be Summer, Autumn, or Winter (which I guess would technically be 2015, but it'd be like the first week of 2015).
