Sane in comparison to the cast. Houki has to deal with dunderhead Ichika and a violently possessive harem. Irish has to deal with Tatenashi and Kanzashi's antics so he's a sane person in comparison. Maximillian as well by virtue of his class being crazy. Sanity is relative here.

2.5 years ago from START of canon was the 2nd Mondo Grosso.
5.5 years ago, 1st Mondo Grosso.

Fic timeline:

5 years ago, Karon is almost killed in the Changi Incident. She meets the Vandam and becomes obsessed with it.
1 year ago, Karon takes the entrance exam...

Nope, I wanted her to be watching the event occur on television. Now I know when it will be occuring... which is actually later than I expected. I'll have her watching the preliminaries instead. Or the Road to Mondo Grosso tournaments.

Shah Alam Institute of Defense Technology, Loading Bay
Defense of the Asean Region Treaty (DART) Developmental Task Force

It was far removed from the festivities in the port city furthest south of the Malayan Peninsula, but the Institute was all up in a huff too. A convoy headed by Tauros armed jeeps and Lion APCs was trundling out of the North-South Highway. Over head, gunships from the Anti-IS Proliferation Agency rotored in close formation, watching that not only to ensure that no one came near their cargo, but that their cargo made it to Point B at all. As curious civilians watched and ducked out of the way, the train weaved through the sparsened traffic and followed the checkpoints towards their final destination. More Lions and Tauros took up the rear, and it became apparent that it was all to protect the three 5-tonner trucks in the middle.

The guards of the Institute rushed out and dropped the anti-ramming barriers just in time, as the convoy almost crashed through at full speed. The trucks came next, then the other DART vehicles. All of them rushed into the loading bay, making way for the trucks to pull up and back into the designated acloves.

"Them showy DARTheads!" A tall woman complained loud enough for the entire procession to hear as she stormed out of the rising shutters. "You might as well paint the trucks bright red or something!!"

A trooper in flak jacket and red beret dismounted from one of the trucks and met with the lady.

"Professor Maximillan," he saluted. "We've escorted the package safely, Ma'am."

"Yes, I noticed," the Prof hissed as she watched her aides driving forklifts up to the deploying trucks. "Really, did you ask for this big show?!"

"The AIPA insisted that we provide every effort we could spare, Ma'am," the trooper said heavy with sarcasm as he fished out a touch device and handed it to the Prof. "I would rather be out fishing. I promised my boy I'd take him today."

She signed off on the device and returned it to the trooper. Only then did she notice that this trooper had crabs on his shoulder -- a full Colonel named Smirnov.

"In the end, no matter how smart or strong we are, we're all small fry to the Brass, huh..."

The stone-faced man turned back to his men and waved his hand overhead, gesturing them to spread out and form a perimeter.

"While I cannot condone this waste of resources, I can at least understand why they'd be jittery. No matter how well Internal Affairs is holding up, we're technically still the world's terrorist central..."

"Be careful with that!" Another lighter-haired boy yelled to the forklifts moving sealed boxes off of the truck. "It's fragile while its in pieces!"

"And now, we've developed a weapon of mass destruction," Smirnov finished.

"You better not be mocking me, Colonel," the Prof shot back.

"I wouldn't dare, Prof."

Both heads of departments watched that young boy from earlier retrieve a fiberglass package from the last truck. He was walking gingerly, and rightfully so. The contents was still semi-translucent, matter suspended on the border where it would turn into energy, giving it a glass-like shine. But its shape was obvious, and the v-finned helm glinted like a jewel in the sun.

"But this Infinite Stratos thing... It's really driven the world mad."

"Other units, yes," Maximillan said as she began following the boy inside. "But not this one..."

She picked up another fiberglass package, this time of a shining reactor core.

"This child, will change the face of DART."

And the Matrix of Leadership appears.

@ Eratas: Dissappeared to play Modern Warfare.

Anyway, for the school AU, just have Kyuukai go about a normal day, chat with friends, play sports, attempt to encourage his Houki to visit his mother, etc.

The gun holster thing is a cool idea. Preferably design it like the Hidan no Aria school uniform, where the holster is built into the school jacket. The gun is airsoft of course, and it should be a Beretta M93R he uses to scare people and or annoy them when he's not plinking around.

On a random side note, my story is based in 2028, giving more leeway for Tabane to develop these spectacular technologies rather than in such a short amount of time.

well, fraternal twins are TWO eggs being fertilised by 2 sperm, and no sperm is COMPLETELY identifical, thus fraternal. Identical is one egg that splits into 2.

In universe explain that Madoka and Ichika are semi-identical twins, from the same unfertilized egg who split and different sperm, they can be similar or different depending on the dominance of the father's genes and what happens during puberty, Ichika and Madoka is closer to different currently, but back when both of them are 5, they're almost indistinguishable.

But me you and Eratas knew the truth....

Anyway, I need to figure out a way to have Ichika (non-lethally) take out Irish's group to save Cecilia. Irish won't be there since he'll be helping Joshua so they won't have their IS expert during the fight.

Using Byakushiki's fist alone is enough, at full power it has enough pressure to breach through 20 cm steel door. Without his wings, Ichika can still dash around because Byakushiki is more compact than most I.S. and has non-hover land propulsion.

That'll work Irish leaves because he heard about Viktor leaving bombs all over the city. The other members try to stop him from interfering so he ends up held at gunpoint. Fortunately, the noise from Ichika's rampage distracts the one holding the gun and Irish manages to incapacitate him. By the time Ichika get's into the room, Irish will have already left.

Any idea what should happen after the London arc? I'm pretty sure Chifuyu won't take kindly to Ichika running off on his own to fight terrorists.

Remind me again what she did after Gospel crisis? No, before that, when Ichika and Char is late, they're go unpunished. Hence I said she only talks big and do nothing, but since she's that scary and convincing, the students USUALLY compiles anyway.
