No, there's several male characters that appeared in the show.
So far, only one of them had a name. (friend of protagonist, and helped her get in the pod to sneak out to space) The show was very enjoyable, and more than half of it had to do with Leopard's insane Lelouch-esque maniac laughs and over-the-top antics, as well as the adorable cuteness of the Imo-chan drone. I just hope these girls don't start going into killing rampage with each other after the first season.

Cute mascot characters give me the creeps...The loli level also seem to be way too high for my taste but after skimming the raw it seems like a decent eye candy, I am a sucker for lots of bright colours and with this cast it would take a really silly story to drive me away before at least a few episodes have passed. The one mecha I saw didn't look too bad.

@Deathkillz
"I have control" isn't a gag aimed at Gundam or Betterman reference, actually. It's a real aviation reporting dialog. If you ever go to a flight school, you'll hear them. That's why you hear pilots in fiction occationally use the phrase. Although it IS funny seeing little cute robots utter the phrase...

One thing I noticed is quite a few company advertisement in this show. The ones I could catch is Lantis and Good Smile Company (mostly on the interspace highway scene). Is this going to be a trend for contemporary/futuristic Sunrise shows?
Loads of retro stuff in this show as well, old tech, old city even the ED has a vinyl disc player plus moped (and outfit to match). I'll be following this show to see how this comes together with the story.

Goodsmile is on this? Win.
This will be the best mechandise anime we will see for some time. This year is going to be heavy on anime run by merchandise, mainly because of the economy. And engaging Goodsmile would ensure that the anime will sell and probably because of that they can make the anime better in other aspects besides selling.

Then you wouldn't be surprised that the cute mascot drone is the first character in the show to get the rule 34.
In another news, watched the first episode. Spoiler for Ep 1:

Spoiler for Thoughts on episode 1:

I actually think Kokuyou no kimi (english name was... Obsidian Prince, I think?) from My-HiME was mixed into the design as well.
You know, the OMG FLOATING EYEBALL OF DOOM idiot last boss. (Considering that this show is also My-HiME staff). It even has the similar color scheme.

If you're referring to me then it seems like it's already a little too late for the in show advertising aspect to have any extra negative impact on my first impression of it so far. That grievance only tends to come out when it's a series that I still have some realistic hope of seeing some degree of greatness from in the near future. The way I see it insult had already been added to injury long before that revelation came about and the way things look to be going the shows best shot at getting my attention now resides in the low tier guilty pleasure area of my tastes. The one where it's a really late night, there's not much else I feel like doing, and I really don't feel like thinking to hard, so I end up choosing to watch something that will give me my loli fix. They should be thankful that lately I'm in that sort of mood at least three days out of seven.

xD I have concluded that Sunrise decied that creating a 'meme' anime would make it automatically popular. Not artistcally good, just popular. At least it gets all the 2-channers or other forums to talk about it.
But my..what manga is that?
