I'm a big meat lover.
Chicken, pork, and ground beef (in certain dishes like lasagna and chili) are probably my favorite meats. I respect vegetarians/vegans, but I don't think I could ever share their dietary habits. I find that nothing fills me like meat or a meaty dish does.

Most meat, although I'm not much for seafood. Veggies are nice, as a side dish. Although I love the taste of meat, I'm not enough of a carnivore to prefer just that. I like flavor, and the more variety the better. Texture matters, and so does temperature. Nothing beats a nice juicy burger on a toasted buttery bun, combined with cold sliced veggies and a nice mixture of sauces. Mmmmmm....burger...
I don't really notice a difference between organic and "industrial" food, honestly (except price, yikes). I find the biggest difference is in size, how it is handled, and how long it lasts, which not only varies by producer but also where you purchase it from. The quality of food you cook/prepare makes a difference, but even the most flavorful of food can be ruined by poor cooking/prepping skills.

Meat is great in a biological PoV. We require 20 amino acids, in which only 10 can be synthesized. The others must be gotten from our diet. To get the others, meat is almost essential, however, there is a way to get all 10 by a diet of very complicated legumes.

Meat is probably easiest source to get good quality proteins and some micronutrients. I prefer chicken, pork and salmon. Reindeer was also one of my favorites, but when I understood the Chernobyl accident, I stopped eating reindeer. Those animals eat lichen which seems to gather radioactive material. Maybe I'm just delusional about it, but so many middle age people have died here for stomach cancer. I have eaten reindeer a few times when I was a kid.
While meat tastes good and is a decent source for protein, I have replaced some of it with whey protein which have been extracted from cow milk. It should be a bit healthier for intestines and gives pretty good protein too. Tastes like vomit (without acid part), if unflavoured is used alone with water.

aren't snails really slimy and sticky, or does the cooking removes the stickyness

I eat meat, usually pork and chicken, all in moderation.
If there's people who can't stand no meat.. I'm the kind who can't stand if there's nothing to go along with the meat. For example, if all we have is some porkchops, I'd often go to the fridge and wash some tomatoes, slice them and eat alongside the pork. Most exotic meat I've tasted is Golden Apple Snails. They taste very similar to clams.

We're trying this --- it's actually pretty tasty as long as you don't try to pretend its meat
http://www.morningstarfarms.com/morn...e-burgers.html One of the better faux-meat patties I've come across. Sometimes we'll "double deck" one on top of a thin meat patty in a hamburger.

I tend to lean toward organic foods as the standard for normal food has dropped dramatically, But now with GMO Vegtables, DNA Alrtered live stock, The world is just getting more and more corrupt. Not only do you have GMO food but onto of that fluoride water yay!
So this is what my tax money goes to, The government/Globalist's killing off 80% of the population. |
