it's just the list of those whose who were chosen in the competition to have their custom avatar/sword skill etc. make it into the game/novel.

There's not enough source material for that yet, although the SAO reboot will probably fix that 100 floor problem. :>

Sometimes "more" doesn't really equate to "better"

Maybe 50 episode or enough to do the LN right.
But yes one can only dream.

My worry is thatmyou may end up with crap filler. Consider Rurouni Kenshin - S1 was good, s2 was the Kyoto Arc, which was fucking awesome, and S3 was crap filler.

The Feng-Shui arc is pretty interesting though. I like the mystery feel of it.

Ok, back to topic. I've watched Eps. 2 and this series really hook me. Good enough story (even though the general premise has already been used), Interesting characters which somehow feel real (except for some chara's hairdo & color ), and fast and fluid action. Man, I'll follow this series till its end.

^ THIS.

But honestly, I think this show has amazing potential. I've got good faith in the writers, and this has been the first time I've actually chosen to watch a series while it's on going rather than waiting until it is finished.

Considering that the studio is already struggling to compress a lot of the LN's material, adding filler doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

....Then again some studios like JC-Staff thought that shoving a bunch filler into Zero no Tsukaima first season would be a good idea, despite the fact they had 3 seasons worth of material at that time.

So who knows what the hell anime producers are thinking sometimes.

OH NO! I dont something like that. So many do you guys think you need to tell the whole SAO Arc? I say 24 or 22 and thats just the Vol 1 and 2 and the other SS that with it.

Please don't mention ZnT, they butchered S2-S4
Anyway, SAO has more than enough material for 24-26 episodes and given how many LN adaptions exist, anime studios have more than enough material to know what they should do and what not

As an example of LN adaptation done well, look no further than Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid, which took one light novel, End of Day by Day, and expanded it into 13 eps while being true to thr source. The awesome OST didn't hurt.

I'm really hoping for something like TSR... We'll know, in anither 6days' time, how RNR will end...
