Erza x Natsu just won't happen IMO. Anyways, this being a shounen, I doubt any concrete pairings will happen. Just look at Bleach/Naruto/One Piece.

His other work, Rave Master, had a few pretty concrete pairings, don't see why this won't have any eventually as well.

that, and you'd have to have a TON of romantic development happen rather soon, since Natsu appears to be a blockhead to everything except "fighting for my friends"

Maybe im the only one but for one hope they bring Gazelle back, he was one of my favorites characters. He is also one of the only TRUE dragon slayers that have been in the series and tus i believe should play a decent role in the larger plot of the story. As for Gerard, i dont really care what happens to him, character bores me. Has no personality. At first he was just an evil dude now and he just a guilt ridden dude. Never goes much above that. Kinda of a one trick character and i find it boring. Im also kinda sick or Erza, she never interested me that much and now her character just feels washed up, like all their is to with her has been done. Id much rather learn of Natsu past and Gazelles past and even wendys, the dragons are obviously important and id like to see why. Anyway i hope the keep wendy character, i found her interesting enough, bring Gazelle back and have the three dragon slayers together. Im sick of erza and Gerard sucking up all of the attention of the manga especially since there not that interesting characters, Erza was at one point but she been around and focused on too much that i have lost all interest in her.

I think you guys are forgetting one more character that should be added into the Erza and Gerard circle... Mistgun. He has the same face as Gerard as well as the tattoo.

Speaking of Gerard, anyone else aside from me totally not buying the memory loss gig?

I was hesitant of it, but page 3 of chapter 162 tore that fantasy to shreds. There we have Gerard, with a devious smile, looking at Natsu while thinking "As I thought, he has exceeded far beyond my expectations."

What expectations? You mean the ones you were supposed to have forgotten?

This chapter kinda kills ErzaxNatsu to some extent which I don't mind since in my book Gerard scored really high this chapter, ErzaxGerard seems more natural to me anyway. Hope Gerard and Wendy make regular appearances in the future.
