HEYZA people!

I'm having my vacation here and I want to spend it by watching LOADS of anime.
But I'm having trouble to find one to my liking..

I want to watch those that has a main guy character that is NOT a loser and if can, a person who is smart. Of course I'm looking for one that has romance in it!
Below are some anime that I like:

Gunsliger girl
Sumomomo momomomo(? how many mo's?)
Lunar Legend Tsukihime
HAYATE NO GOTOKU (ALL TIME FAVOURITE)

Gunslinger Girl
Elfen Lied

Clannad doesn't have a loser of a guy, has mild romance, and he's pretty "aware" if that's what you mean.

Code Geass's main character can be classified as smart, but he's more "intelligent."

If you haven't watched it yet, go for Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Panic! and its sequels.

Nodame Cantabile might fit the bill. Other choices might include Planetes, Oh! Edo Rocket, and Baccano! (no one's a loser in that show except maybe Lua).

None of the characters in Monster is a loser, and nearly all of them are smart.

Darker than Black - not so much as a loser, but just with some painful past. Extremely good at what he does.

Umm. You came to this conclusion based on what, exactly?

Surprised that no one said The Melancholy of Haruhu Suzumiya yet. The main male character is pretty sharp and a bit of a smart-ass, although he is very funny. A very good watch, and I highly recommend it.

You'd probably want animes where you want to continue watching/marathon.

Claymore, Code Geass, Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan(the beginning not really, but around episodes 6+ really addicting.) and maybe Darker than Black, but splits into whole different story every time one ends.
