Kay, so, what bothers me the most: not so much the fact that the people were still alive, but the fact that nobody died after falling on a pile of other people from that kind of height. Hair net aside, landing on others wouldn't cut your fall...anyway.

I literally laughed out loud when I noticed how the chapter juxtaposed the unrealistically convenient conclusion of the arc with that ominous final page. They almost got me there.

BTW, I also kinda like how it's been implied that Toriko's fork and knife attacks were also manifestations of his appetite. It's a goofy explanation for sure, but I still think it sort of makes sense considering how zany this series is in the first place.

Anyway, a lot of people aren't going to be very happy about Teppei's demise (particularly Jirou and Yosaku).....

I liked that approach, after all Toriko has always been one to be motivated by hunger, so it makes sense that all of his attacks possess a certain amount of 'appetite'. It also complements his autophagy recovery and need to eat - rather than eating himself in order to regain stamina, the fear of death expedites his gluttony to reach another level, thus instantly going full-power.

Man it can't be Teppei seriously side dish for that mysterious man right? At least I wanted to see the fruit of his training and his fight before he become a human salad like that. That was brutual and this chapter would made more chapter if those dozen of people digested by the friggin four beast. Seriously it was really strange and weird chapter.

Nice, the author doesn't limit himself with Toriko by the fact that it is shonen, aimed for kids ....unlike One Piece, a manga supposed to be about Pirates but barely anyone dies or gets injured heavily.

One Piece actually has a high death toll and Zoro's injuries are always ridiculous, but whatever.

Kind of ironic you're saying this despite the fact that the thousands of people that were eaten all shown to have survived in one piece this chapter (no pun intended, BTW).

But yeah, I still find Teppei's demise pretty darned shocking, nonetheless.....

Well damn =/ What was that about his scar growing? Meh, whatever, looks like Ichiryuu will be cooking some air, using Melk's refined kitchenware

Komatsu's rating went up, but I have to say that the way Setsu talks about him, it feels like she's saying "yeah it was no big deal, the ingredients just told him what to do", which kinda undermines his cooking skill. Could have been played out a bit better there.

^That's..... an interesting idea. I kinda doubt it, though. Remember, reviving humans from death is only supposed to be possible through Acacia's appetizer. So unless the mystery man actually had that on him, I don't think it's possible he killed Teppei and revived him through another method.....

Anyways, that sure is one crazy "kitchen knife" that Ichiryuu was wielding there.....

Anyway: Spoiler for Toriko 208: Holy..... damn, is Teppei really gone!? Man, that last image was surprisingly disturbing, despite it not being gory (and I love how much it contrasted with the whole happy-go-lucky ending of the Four Beast battle)..... Anyway, I'm not really too bothered that all those people the beast ate survived (at least it beats them dying and being resurrected later, though I do agree that will probably end up being the case with my man Teppei). Really can't wait to see where the plot goes from here. Though I still doubt the kings will go to the Gourmet World just yet since there's still that cooking festival to worry about...... But before the storm of complaints come, lemme get the summary out of the way first: -As mentioned above, Teppei DID survive. It turns out that some of his fellow Saiseiya managed to save him before the mysterious stranger had the chance to kill him. Meanwhile, Pukin, the saiseiya he's speaking with, tells him that the only one capable of reviving a creature like the Four Beast is "Mohyan Shaishai" the world's most skilled saiseiya and one of the Gourmet National Treasures. Teppei intends to seek him out.... -Back at the IGO HQ, we see Mansam and Uumen (that director guy we saw way back in the first chapter) speaking with Ichiryuu. It's implied that Mansam is powerful enough to kill the Four Beast on his own, and would have interfered with the kings' training if he entered the fray (Ichiryuu also considers the beast an easy target, BTW). After the conversation, the president prepares to go locate Acacia's salad, Air..... -Finally, Komatsu is visited by two members of the Gourmet 7. They arrived to give him a ranking in the world's top chefs: Komatsu is now ranked 88th in the human world....!!! ...Only 88 after saving humanity from extinction? Boy, those IGO guys sure have ridiculous standards, don't they? So now time to bitch about discuss the chapter.....
