There is this tweet by YenPress, from December, that indicates they haven't started on Progressive, and it's likely not going to be out for some time. (But it's "On [their] radar") |

As a reference, Tianwen Kadokawa, the publisher of SAO Simplified Chinese version, had just obtained SAOP license half year ago and it's published right before their publication of SAO Vol.12. On the other hand, Taiwan Kadokawa, the publisher of SAO Traditional Chinese version, published 12 volumes of SAO novel but they still hadn't obtain SAOP publication license....and it's based on the circumstances that both publishers i'd just mentioned are partly hold by Kadokawa Inc., the parent company of Dengeki Bunko.....

Unlikely. From what we can gleam, Volume 14 isn't the end.
Aditionally, the author implied on a tweet, that Administrator is not the final boss, so there is likely going to be more to this arc beyond Volume 14 (and likely the same goes for 15) That being said, we have no idea if Alicization is the final arc. The web-novel stopped with Alicization, but it's possible he'll continue on-ward (or hopefully, he'll focus more on Progressive) |

I think it will affect it. The LN will cover the arc but I doubt it's going to be the same. I'm pretty sure it's going to be pretty different actually, because that arc was ridiculous in the web novel. Pure fanfiction bullshit. I'm really sure such shit writing can't be published so you should expect heavy re-writing of the whole arc.
