Can you give us a source for this news? Moonphase has nothing, 2ch has nothing, and the official website hasn't been updated since last August.

It got added sometime today to MoonPhase's anime list.

As to what MoonPhase is basing this on, maybe its mentioned somewhere on some site or maybe it got leaked out. I don't know, ask MoonPhase

WHOA!
Awesome, did not expect this. I think I even mentioned this in the "series you'd like to see continued" thread a week ago.

Even though I like the manga better, I'm still very fond of the anime and I was so happy to see this announced. Can't wait to see the second season (whenever it may be) ^^

Yes! I was trying to ask what the possibility for a second season would be
Now the manga is finished - and they should be better able to plan this season

Incredible! I've been praying for this since the manga ended!

I admit that otaku fascination with maids gave me some real hope, but I'm still bouncing up and down in my seat right now with eager excitement! Now if only IIchan will return to fansubbing for this show, I will truly be in heaven.

Yeeeeeeeeeees!!!!!!!!!!! The first season was almost blatntly BEGGING for a sequel... and now that the manga is over... my god, this is unbelieveable! The producers HAVE BRAINS! They're doing exactly what I (and a number of other fans) were hoping... keep it to a great-quality 13 ep series, and continue with the rest after the manga is finished so they can structure it properly.

Ironic that Studio Pierrot's current cash cow(s) can't seem to follow a similar hint (is Naruto still in fillers?...)

It seems like the great Tsuneo Kobayashi will be back to direct this which is absolutely great of course. I am so happy about this news! It's the best news I've heard in a long time... I'm really really looking forward to it now Whee!! *dissolves in excitement*.

A new seinen manga by Kaoru Mori called: Emma Bangaihen (エマ 番外篇) is starting in September's Issue of the seinen manga magazine Comic Beam.

September's Issue of Comic Beam magazine will be released tomorrow (August 12, 2006).

Yes the first chapter of this new manga will be out tomorrow

If it turns out that Emma Bangaihen manga is a continuation of Victorian Romance Emma manga, I'll be so excited, I'll start jumping from happiness

A new seinen manga with a new story from Kaoru Mori will be great, but still >.< please let be a continuation >.< please please please >.<

Edit:

From the title: Emma Bangaihen, it could be a continuation

Let's see.... First, there's going to be a second season of the anime, and now there's a possibility that the manga will be continued?

I almost awnt to believe there is a God in this world I'm so happy for Kaoru Mori! But the thing about "Bangaihen" is that it sounds more like a "spinoff" or a "side story".

Are there any clues as to when you can expect season 2 or is it smply in the "expect it" stage? Season 1 ended on a sad note and I want a happy ending!

Well according to the people at the IIChan site, the new manga will be side stories rather than a continuation of Emma's attempt to join high society. Ah well still good. Apparantly they have already started to translate the first chapter of the new manga! Yay!
