Been Searching(please answer!)

I have been searching this forum for 3-4 days and I can't choose an anime to watch. Sigh, so I need help. What I want is anime's that fall under the category of being as epic as Tengen toppa, as mindf*cking as Higurashi no naru koro ni, as fighting based as Kenichi, as real fighting based as Grappler Baki etc. etc. So please recommend me any good! anime that fall under those category's.

Thats damn near impossible lol...

I'll second Elfen Lied, just the realistic fighting isn't there, its probably the closest thing you'll find.

Death Note is epic and "mindf*cking", but no actual fighting, more like "chess matches" or "mind battles", where they try to outsmart each other.

Berserk fits as well, although it can't isn't exactly *mindf*cking" *minor spoiler*except for the end*minor spoiler*. The battles are pretty awesome, along with realistic fighting, with swords and such.

Second Elfen Lied and Death Note

Also, Black Lagoon (I found it a bit boring but well...)

As epic as Gurren-Lagann - nothing exists, but I can tell you some things that come close. Eureka Seven, Gunbuster 2, GaoGaiGar, Code Geass

As mindfucking as Higurashi - Higurash s not very mindfucking at all, so this one's petty easy. Baccano, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Serial Experiments Lain, oh a big one is Texhnolyze, Berserk for sure.

Realistic combat... well, I can't really help you there, lol. If you want to see the greatest fight scenes in anime, though, I highly suggest KARAS or Samurai Champloo.

I'll second Claymore just because it's good, but there's really no mindfucking or anything.

Seen:

-Elfen lied, Claymore, death note, berserk, black lagoon, baccano, serial experiment lain, samurai champloo, code geass.

Checking: Karas, Tecxholyze, Eureka 7, Gunbuster.

I didn't like: Neon Genesis.

Higurashi mindfucking I meant, well I don't know what I really meant but it had a pretty good story with nice gore . So I need something like that.

FLCL and Code Geass for mindf*cking and epic, Paranoia Agent as mindf*cking, Kiba for fighting based, and I guess Shigurui for realistic fighting and mindf*cking (This anime is definitely among the more graphic though, just a word of warning)

Really? I thought Inuyasha was awful! It was like pokemon with demons. All the episodes were so repetetive and the ending solved nothing.

Anyways, I soppose Speed Grapher would work. It's pretty epic, most of the characters are screwed up in the head, full of action with a tiny bit of romance.

Darker than black maybe? It's pretty epic, especially the ending arc. Lot of action involved in this one, pretty bloody too, but it's not mind f***ing.

If you seriously want a mindf*ck I'd suggest The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It still confuses me to this day, no matter how much people try and explain it to me.

Hmmm... How about Kimi ga Nozomu Eien and Saikano as mindf*cking (though they might be more heartf*cking, but it amounts to the same thing).
