Namco listened to you apparently. They're releasing the idolm@ster rhythm games for the iPhone!

THE iPHONE!

Meanwhile my Vita is gathering dust (aside from Zero Escape, that one was awesome. More please)

(see? this works both ways. I actually like buttons for my gaming)

Sony’s PlayStation 4 Marketing Slogan Is "Greatness Awaits"

You guys are not going to believe this...

Quote:
Sony is going to give PlayStation 4 a big marketing push and the keywords behind it are "Greatness Awaits." Siliconera obtained a leak from a company working on the campaign. The commercial starts off by showing an empty road in a small town. A lone guy walks down the road towards the camera and says, "Who are you not to be great? You, with the imagination of a brilliant child and the powers of an ancient god."

That is silly. Like Evil Dead kind of silly. At least they're playing up the players and customers to be gods, as opposed to Microsoft who sometimes seem to play themselves up to be god and customers its minions.

I don't see the big deal about the greatness claim. What are they supposed to say? "Mediocrity Awaits?"

Small interview on siliconera with silicon studios, which is worth reading siliconera.
Probably more interesting for Sony and SE fans.
With MGR:R PC port and the PS4 moving to x86 architecture, consoles could see a real competition this generation from PC, especially in japan.
Make sure to check out their videos of their engine

wtf does that have to do with anything, my god all the people at Sony in charge of making tv commercials must be doing some hard drugs that is for sure . Well I guess that these kind of crazy commercials are memorable, just for how much they stand out compared to other commercials.

Great comment from GameSpot's comment logs...

SONY should tweet out:

"Hey MS we see your popularity falling, maybe your fans just couldn't #dealwithit ?"

and

"Good thing PS4 needs absolutely 0 internet connection."

I admit, I am a total SONY whore, and the PS4 didn't quite meet my expectations upon reveal, but I am now very pumped for E3. This will be a huge defining point for both consoles. SONY has an excellent opportunity to take a decided advantage through the summer news cycle and head into the holiday buying period with the lead in public perception.

We HAVE to see more games from PS4 at E3. SONY has to drive home the point that this is a GAMING console industry and that the PS4 is the console that will provide the far-superior GAMING experience.

Sony doesn't have to do much- would be cool if they suddenly reveal backwards compatibility or a super affordable price at launch, but more than that- they just need to avoid pulling any funny nonsense and they'll have this in the bag.

Don't fuck this up... please don't fuck this up....

I think they can't just sit back. I think they have to try to stick the knife into Microsoft while there is a good opportunity to do so.

And, since we heard next to nothing about games for the One, SONY, I think, can stick that knife in by having a great showing of games, especially exclusives.

But, you're right in the sense that, at minimum, SONY just cannot f this up.

That's what I'm hoping for. Since Sony is allowing us to play used games and doesn't have to be online to play games, the only bad thing about the PS4 at the moment are backwards comparability options... for now.

After the while MS conference earlier today, I'm starting to worry how Sony will address there own notes about their system next. I'm excited but cautious optimistic that things will turn out great.

Curious, do you think gamers are willing to pay a bit more if they can have backwards compatibility?
