Her parents were still alive at the time, so...maybe 1980 or very late 1970s? Satoko never states when that incident happened, I don't think, but I don't think Rika was THAT young as compared to her 4 year-old self in the 4th OVA

If Rika is suppose to be 11 or so in 1983, then this last episode would take place around 1976. Judging by the other responces, the incident with Satoko would take place may in 1979, so when Rika is maybe 7 year old.

4-year-old Rika is stuck in a different timeline/world and Hanyuu has to bring her back somehow (this is information on the official site), as I mentioned in a previous post. With the way it was worded, I don't believe this is a flashback to 1976...

Also, no official age or dates are ever specified for that scene, so we can only speculate.

Kira episode 4: 4-years-old as specified in the summary
Himatsubushi-hen: No specific age given, Akasaka guesses she may still be in kindergarten
1981: According the Kai anime summary book design sketch section for Kakera Musubi, she is 9
1983: 11, going on 12-- assuming August 25th really is Rika's birthday. (I don't know what the source of it is though, but it seems even the Japanese fanbase and the wiki accept this as her birthday.)

I guess 6-7 years old during that hide-and-seek game with Satoko sounds about right...

Despite some of these given numbers, I've also heard that the anime information can conflict with information from the game guide book (such as conflicting height charts...)

Did they ever give a specific date for the damn incident? Which would be Himatsubuahi-hen. I'm guessing the year Satoko's parents supported the project.

About Hanyuu's horns.. In that comic, it looks like she has little frilly ribbon things in her hair where the tips of her horns would be. Maybe they're partially under the hat and then have ribbon on the tips to hide them for.. some reason?

It looks like the spot where Hanyuu's horns should be got replaced by..braids?

I hope Kira 3 comes out soon... the terrible Kira 1 was subbed within a few days, fansubbers chose to work fast for the wrong episode. >_>

Seems like no groups want to even go near Higurashi Kira after what happened with the first one

and I think the two groups that did files 01 and 2 were conned / pressured into subbing it, if I recall their comments on it correctly?
