I asked a friend (who has played the game and watched the 2002 anime) and he guessed it was Natto. I have no clue personally.
May I use this one? Now that I finally quit Lurking I need an avatar and I'm too lazy to make one myself (forgive me ). Last edited by Blue Reverie; 2006-10-14 at 12:26. |

I just recently learned how to make gifs. Now that i Know I'm using like 7 different softwares in combination, but still Im a beginner so bear with me.
They are all from ep2. This episode just had too many nice scenes. And I also posted them to my homepage Animeph. In fact I linked them from there.

Woah hey, some of those .GIFs are over 600kb. AnimeSuki only allows a limit of 50kb.
Some general advice on avatar making. ..) You do not need to show the whole screen. Use cropping to select a portion of the screen for your frames. This will also prevent distortion when you resize it. ..) Try to avoid subtitles. Either extract the frames from RAWs or .MKV files. ..) Most people in AnimeSuki prefer to have borders around their avatars. This is optional of course, but people prefer it because it makes the avatar look tidier. ..) Remember to set a timing inbetween the frames. Otherwise, your avatar will either be too fast, or too slow. Cheers.

Well. I know the limit here is 50kb and its true I have probs getting mine on the right size. I made this 600kb gif because i just though this scene was too good to cut it. Im allready deleting frames inbetween and setting times for them, but this still is not enough. Choosing lower img quality also only makes such a minor difference that its not even worth reducing quality with the softwares I use.
This cropping thing is what I dont understand yet. Does it mean to use only a small part (for example middle part) of the full resolution img? If its that I allready did this with some of my gifs and its a hell of a work because I have to set the position for each frame seperately and equally. And I still havnt found where to add borders, but I guess it wont be that hard. Some help would be appreciated.

Well, I'm using IrfanView to crop my frames. It has a function for Batch Conversions, where I just need to input the X,Y cordinates and the size( height and width) of the section to be cropped, and it will automatically crop all the selected frames. Photoshop should also have this function.
Cheers.
