I don't see this story going past 15 volumes, and that might even be a stretch.

The author could always make more (factions etc.), though the success of doing so could vary greatly on the execution. (For example, maybe a new continent other than Ente Isla in their homeworld?)

For what purpose, though? The main issue in the plot is related to the Angels, and their misuse of the sephira and desecration of Ente Isla's Tree of Life. Then there's the Church, and its ambition of becoming the next big power. Both are clearly limited factions.

So, in that regard, the plot's been tightly-nit so far to add some new faction just because, as if this was some power-level battle manga.

Beat the Angels
Stop the Church
Conquer Ente Isla with a MaouxHero combo
Dimension traveling is noticed by Japan
Have a war or negotiation arc

Really the list could go on an on and since there is dimension traveling i'm pretty sure that there is a lot of content that could be made. Or the whole japan finds out about Maou and the other world, that could give a lot of content

What negotiation? Maou can easily destroyed the entire Japan if he can beat the angels in earlier arc. If anything, it is going to be lame-writing if Japan can give Maou a decent fight.

Seriously, some series is better off finish earlier instead of dragging like Index.

Index diluted the problem of "We beat the final boss, now what? A more uber-hax boss appears!" to an extent (although it still happened, just at a much slower pace), by integrating several other protagonists/storylines (effectively becoming several different stories altogether, albeit being bound in the same universe/converging at some point or another).

I prefer the existence of otheer factions attempting not just to conquer Japan but to conquer Earth itself. the ability to travel from Ete Isla to Earth seems not limited to angels and demons, as demonstrated by Miki-T. It seems this could be a good reason why Miki'T currently residing earth
