That was rather awesome to see the Director understanding how Kyoko came to create this new version of Mio in the second half of this episode. Very impressive Kyoko, very impressive.

Not much to say really regarding this episode. Do like how the whole episode was just focused on the new Mio that she created.

Definitely this show has turned into the one that I can't wait to see the next episode for.

Didn't think much could look more evil than angel twisted into madness. But damn Kyouko just blew that out of the water this time. That expression around the 20 minute mark is probably the most evil thing I've ever seen. Some of the cast might have to hide under their beds in terror after this one .

Still have to give huge marks to Kyouko for pulling this together. You put her into a bad spot and she still comes out to amaze you beyond belief. Not just finding out about the character but completely creating her own interpretation. One that manages to fix a few contradictions in her character. Must be something for the lady to see her old Mio get blown to bits .

At the same time really do feel bad for Mio. So much has built up to turn her into such a person. The feelings toward Mizuki did make sense when going through Kyouko's thoughts. Not hard to feel envious of someone that can still be positive in ugly circumstances and easy for envy to turn into hate.

Looking forward to that new world that the director plans on making.

At any rate this episode was great. Got to see Kyouko really put the pieces together and put out a Mio that couldn't be denied. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I did think it was a good episode, but at points I just couldnt stop rolling my eyes. Some parts seemed a bit too over the top for me.
Of course i'm not knocking it, but I think they could have done without a little of the drama.

Even with those thoughts, I'm dying for the next episode!

Oh my...intense is exactly the right word to describe this...I think somewhere down the line, the spirit of Mio came down from the heavens and possessed Kyouko and throwing her completely in character. The director basically had a heart attack watching Kyouko "act" out Mio and I just find it amazing how well she can get into the character...it is almost as if that is her real personality.

I'm surprised the new image she created for herself floated and the explanations along the way why it did added a nice touch.

I can't wait for more ^^'

In other news, Ren really has taken a fancy on her if he is so viciously defending the poor girl

I did not think that they would spend a whole ep only with Kyoko developing Mio but they did it and it was awesome.

But on the other side ... there aren't much episodes left and I don't think that they will finish the Dark Moon arc.
Hopefully there will be more and more seasons since they made a really greate job so far.

I wonder why everyone was so adamant to see Kyoko change her interpretation from the Mio of 20 years ago. Since "Dark Moon" is a remake, it has to be adapted to fit with modern times. If they would have kept the same old Mio, then the remake would be a mere copy of the original that adds nothing new to improve upon it.

Also, the director is portrayed as such a "weak" character. As the director, he should already have a pretty clear image of how he wants the movie to turn out. Yet, he's so easily swayed by Kyoko's new portrayal of Mio. Although the "new" Mio is definitely better suited for the 21st century, it was his job to adapt the character and not Kyoko's. If someone had to be fired, I'd nominate him instead of Kyoko

THE OLD SHONEN STYLE EXPLANATION-IN-HEAD EPISODE! Which I love, so no complaints here.

Though Kyouko doing it her way really isn't that surprising anymore. I just hope to see what kind of wild stuff she comes up with + that huge obstacle we know is coming sooner than later.

Personally, I'm really pleased with the anime material - what they're showing and what they're skipping. Though I do like Skip Beat, it's gone on for too long for a shoujo manga, and some story arcs, like Mouko's little family arc, were, imho totally irrelevant. I think the anime's doing a good job of skipping over and keeping just the core plot. The whole Director Ogata being related to his father didn't need to be removed, but it's not detrimental to the plot, either. So even though the tsukkomi pacing in the anime is absolutely terrible (seriously, there's waaaaay too much time between the boke and the jab; it feels so delayed), the material they're covering is rather appropriate, I think.

Its was wonderful to finally see Kyouko's Mio animated complete the scare and the scary look of death and everything. The way she had everyone trembling was perfect as she was totally into the role. When i read this part in the manga i thought man its going to look great animated. They did an espcially good job of close up on her eyes as she acting as Mio since i feel that is where you can really get a good sense of how Mio feels. The eyes are the doorways into ourselves and being able to bring out the hatred Mio feels with her eyes is just great acting.

I was wondering how they were going to do Mio manner of speech and once again it come off nicely. It was polite yet scary her way of speaking was proportional to that of a rich young lady but the tone and her sarcasms made it all feel creepy. Its like someone complimenting you in a creepy tone. The first character Kyouko has ever created came out the way she wanted very nice.

I guess we are going to move on to Ren next.

i've read that skip beat will end within 3 weeks and thus leaving it with 25 episodes.
which is kinda sad since i really enjoyed the series a lot!
but maybe HAL plans to do it in miltiple phases like aria(or so i hope.

Episode 22 ends on chapter 59 of the manga.
Right now~ 137 chapters of manga are out, so they have more than enough material for another 26 episodes season (and they Skipped quite a Beat of the parts they did cover) .

So it begins. It would such a shock to see Ren in the state that he was during the final scene --- it's good in that way because we're able to accept what the Kyoko and the rest are feeling during the scene. Very well done.

It's a shame i read the back of the few Viz volumes over the past week so i know what's going to happen. Can't wait to see how it's pulled off, together with how they'll end this season.

Damn this ended in a disaster. Ren is just completely unable to do it anymore. Forget about surpassing the original it's gotten to the point where he can't even do it. This is such a tough role especially when you consider his weakness. Going to be a real struggle for him to pull it together.

Kyouko on the other hand is doing well with her Mio. Aside from the times where she hasn't yet gotten into character . Gotta love how they start the second half with a knife flashing across the screen. Acting against Kyouko's Mio must be a pretty intense situation. Still this is a pretty huge time for Kyouko since that role will really help move her up in things.

Was nice to get a bit from Itsumi. Plays an important role in Dark Moon but haven't gotten a chance to know her actress yet. Seems pretty mature and also noticing that Ren's acting as Kazuki hasn't been that powerful.

Glad I don't know how things are going to develop. Looking forward to finding out though.
