God, I love this series.

Don't think so. He knows a concept of what a sword is and what can kill him. But it was the 3D gear he was interested in.

Meaning he never encountered that technology before.

This means one he is a outsider and two there is a possibility other humans not part of the walled country are resisting Titans.

With the Titans inside the walls we are presented with the possibility there are several factions of Titans.

It's like they take two steps back for every step they advance. In the same way, hardly anything is being answered. As they uncover answers to their questions, even more questions start popping up. The way things are, it'll be a while before we can take a glimpse of the bigger picture behind everything.

This new development just takes the cake. Does this mean that there is more than one group (or perhaps organization) of titans around?

New titan hints the titans have a language and on some level a culture (if he was from the same group as Annie then he would know they speak the same language since there is only one human settlement left as far as we know and it's bringing the 3D gear back somewhere for examination).

It seems to be a human-titan based on the "then you have an idea about what's in the nape of our necks" comment but an attack there will disable a normal titan, so it could have a different meaning to the titans then to the humans and readers. Who knows perhaps this is foreshadowing for a intelligent sub-species of titan seperate from the human-titan threat.

I think this new titan is most probably someone from another faction, someone who never encountered this particular human encampment before.

There must be a reason if the local titans never breached wall rose in such a long time. I think it is obvious now that with intelligent and colossal titans roaming around they could have done it already since a long time if they really wanted. Or maybe they can't for some other less obvious reason that the new titan doesn't know about.

Anyway the fact that he breached Wall Rose so easily as soon as he arrived and with a relatively small force really tells us how little protection those walls offer. The thought that humans had "defeated" titans with them was just wishful thinking in the end.

Mankind was annihilated with the exception of the people inside wall rose. Pretty sure none of them seriously thought that they had defeated the titans, even more so knowing that there is a collossal titan who is even taller than the highest wall and can easily smash any gate.

Well, since it has been hinted that there's now indeed different factions of super-titans that exist outside of the walls, I have to wonder if it was the same government from the walled cities who had a hand in their creation? Or are there other groups outside the walls who are in on this conspiracy, as well? If so, then things are getting WAY more complex than we originally thought.....

Come to think of it, Arnie probably doesn't belong to the same faction as the fur-covered one, otherwise he could have just taken and examined Arnie's.
Maybe a future plot will reveal that Arnie & her faction were in fact fighting and protecting humans from the more threatening giants?

I thought Eren was supposed to be the best hand-to-hand combatant in his generation, Annie one again mopped the floor with him Titans generate a lot of heat, looks like Annie froze(?) herself in an ice block to keep information hidden. __________________

Spoiler for chap 33: As morbid as it was, I found it kind of funny that during that church scene, we see Annie crash into the place and crush people to death RIGHT after the priest was having everyone pray for walls to keep the titans at bay. Of course, it was pretty saddening, as well..... Anyways, it was a nice touch on Isayama's part to have Mikasa, not Eren, "defeat" Annie. But of course, that flashback scene is definitely foreshadowing something heavy. And now that he's returned, will we finally see a proper battle against the colossal titan!? Man, June can't get here fast enough.....

Not only was it revealed that the religious cult is in on the titan conspiracy, but apparently those colossal titans are what the walls are made of. And if that weren't enough, Wall Rose has been breached. Man, now I really can't wait for 35 to get here.....

This series was already good with the fighting scenes and plot, but this twist adds a whole new level But then, with a colossal titan in the wall, why did another colossal titan destroy the wall? If the colossal in the wall is a friendly, why doesn't he help the humans instead of staying in a deep sleep like state? If he is an enemy, how the he end up in the wall? Did humans have a method to deal with colossal titans? So many question, can't wait for the next chapter __________________

I mean, he can speak and has higher intelligence when compared to the "fodder" giants, but he didn't know about the three dimensional gear. So I guess maybe he's a civilian turned titan instead of a soldier.....?

The fact he knows that he and humans speak the same language, but never encountered 3D or their heat swords means he hasn't attacked the human base for a long period. But then he orders the small titan and the one next to him fears him? When Eren attacked titans in the first episodes they didn't show that behaviour. When Arnie ordered the other titans to devour her, they also didn't show that kind of fear. Meaning within the titans there is a order of hierarchy, with the fur-covered one being higher than fodder titans. __________________
